Mesa Moving and Storage: Bozeman

I am very unhappy with my experience with Mesa Movers in Bozeman. I had my furniture in storage for almost two years while a new home was being built. When I did receive my furniture, I had lots of damage, and the 3 items I had created were lost. After a ton of phone calls, and filing a claim, the lost items were finally found. I had a $12,000 couch purchase 6 months before moving that arrived damaged with tears and grease stains all over it. A furniture specialist was sent by United to examine the damage.

UPDATE Sadly, I have to update my review. Upon unpacking I see why things went quickly. I am finding damaged items, missing items, and one box that is almost completely collapsed with food items inside. The packing was haphazard and illogical. For example, items were taken apart and the parts not were not kept together. The cord for the printer is still missing. In one case, the head of a carved goose was removed and not packed with the body for no discernible reason.

I have spent the past week and a half trying to get an answer to where half of my delivery is. The company of origin (Article Furniture) confirmed that Mesa received the box over a month ago. Mesa Moving scheduled a delivery which should include 2 boxes, morning of the delivery they say they don't have/can't find box 1/2 and only deliver box 2/2. Two days later they found box 1/2(!) and schedule another delivery, morning of that delivery I receive a text saying oops we can't find it again.

Very unsatisfied with this moving company. We used them twice and were left with damaged items each time. They ignored our instructions on handling specific items, wrapping sellable products, and transporting with care, causing unnecessary stress and damage. The worst part was how they treated our belongings—nothing was wrapped or protected properly. They dropped a Mac computer and $3,000 worth of sellable products, causing major damage, and didn’t offer to pay for dry cleaning or repairs.

We needed furniture moved out and stored during our office remodel. Our experience with Mesa Moving in Bozeman was terrible. I should have taken heed when the sales person was slow to respond and send quotes. A prior to move-out, I requested tags from Mesa to mark furniture and boxes so we'd know which office they should be returned to when we moved back into our remodeled office. I was told no tags were needed. I assumed that meant they had their own system to know where furniture belonged. I was wrong.

If I could give them a negative number I would. We had to have all the stuff in basement moved out so that water damage could be repaired. They didn't label any boxes as to which room they belonged in. When they moved the stuff back in, they just piled everything on the living room. When they were done, they left the basement door wide open. It was open for several hours before we had an opportunity to go down and see what they had done.

I can not recommend Mesa Moving. I moved cross country and could not believe how my things were delivered. I am still waiting for an explanation on how my boxes were wet and damaged. So many of my possessions were broken, wet and moldy. I did not pack liquids either! A bike is missing along with half of my bed frame among other items. I also had several boxes that came that were not even mine! They "attempted" to repack and saw a folder with personal information out of its box. What is going on?

Very disappointed in the movers, didn’t listen to what was suppose to be taken then left furniture outside of what was suppose to be taken. The worker claimed he had back issues. I asked if they could rectify the situation and she flat out said no the do a great job. Terrible customer service.
