J&S Transportation

I used j&s to transport a vehicles from Indiana to Billings, Mt. I went with them because they are local to me. They were more expensive than anyone else I found but they were upfront and, again local. They sub contracted the job to another delivery service in the area and that's where this went bad. They texted me and said my truck was arriving early. Cool. It was suppose to be delivered between 8 and noon. Noon arrives and no truck. 1300 and still no truck.

Be weary when using this transportation service. They also do not want to lose there 5 star rating and if you have any issues they will not try and mediate the issue. They will cancel your transport after having made a deposit (Will refund once canceling on you. I filled out all the specs they asked and was given a price of x amount. They called me back after that and immediately told me the price was incorrect and would have to be $300 more than the quoted price.

Had them deliver a SUV to Arizona for me. From the time the drive showed up it was a disaster told me he needed us to tow a vehicle off the trailer so he could unload my SUV. First off that should not be my responsibility he should of planned better. Had to call me son at work to come home with his truck to try and tow vehicle off the trailer and out of the way. Ended up with a broken driver's side tail light. Had a dent in my SUV that wasn't there prior.

I have a few cars delivered over the years but nothing ever as Poor and Unprofessional as this one. First took a long time to set up a schedule to get my car, next very little to none communications from the driver, then when my vehicle shows up looks like it had been thru a mud bog and the driver approaches me and says I need your help and a vehicle to Drag off a vehicle so he can get my vehicle off the top rack. So unprofessional,very disappointed I would not recommend this company to haul anything.

*One of the ways I reached out to their office was via a reply to the text messages I received regarding the service which is a manned phone as I was previously receiving live replies from this number. It is now 12 days later and I have STILL not received any reply from the office aside from this reply to a review. So on top of them delivering on exactly 0 things that were guaranteed in the original email, the lack of communication has NOTHING to do with whether or not their offices are open on the weekend.

Im edit my review. This is after they responded. Give you more time? How can i give you more time when your coworker called me saying it is not gone get picked up with in a week it could easy go over 3 weeks and im gone go head and cancel this transaction....... so im confused how to give you more time when your guy said he gone cancel it and cant pick it up for over three weeks. I done business with this company for years. Recently i had them scheduled to pick up a car and get it delivered.

***Even with this reply they got my name wrong........ attention to detail...... They then proceeded to edit the reply without acknowledging they got my name wrong I don't normally review things but I am extremely disappointed with this car shipping process. I scheduled a move of my Mazda CX-5 from California to Pennsylvania on March 28, 2024 and was told on the phone that it would be picked up exactly the day I needed, June 17th and cost $1200.

Company is a complete JOKE! Terrible communication. These guys broker most of their transport. There are MUCH better broker companies to use that do not require a deposit. They took 10 days to find a driver on a very common route I suspect because they put in a low bid. I have shipped cars before and typically 24-48 hrs is all it takes to find a driver. The driver they used was late to pick up and had zero communication.
