In their own words
The 3 movers were not courteous. Everything I asked them they said "no" and were "rushy"+ they yelled at me few times. They broke "many" items to which I didn't know till I was unpacking. They scraped my new apt floor&said they didn't. It was the worst move I've ever experienced. Do NOT recommend. They weren't even at the new apt when I arrived. Aweful!!
Funny! This "lady" tried to micro manage the move at every turn. She was dissatisfied from the moment we arrived & stayed pissy throughout the day. But everyone sees things from their own perspective; skewed or not. So God bless Rebecca! You know not to call us next time!
First, I called Mike on a Monday to schedule for Saturday. I explained everything i had in my house and what i was doing which was moving a one bedroom apartment not including any appliances, just one bedroom set and living room set. Not to mention i was moving within the same apartment complex! He told me it would be a two man 3 hour job and maybe a little more which was fine.
Read the other reviews for truthful representations of how we do business. Sometimes people RIP us off by not paying for the services provided. This client was one of those people. My guys ALWAYS get good reviews as does my company BUT some folk are just never satisfied no matter how much you do…
Don't ever, ever use this service. Their movers tried leaving the job halfway through, they made us help unload the truck and carry boxes, they damaged a ton of our furniture, and we had to rent a U-Haul to finish the job that we hired them for because they were "in a rush" and didn't want to finish. They seriously didn't pack up and move our bed, our kids bed, and the baby's crib. We basically had to yell at them to go get the bare essentials for us.
Sees nothing wrong with blocking an alley in order to move appliances despite the fact there are multiple places to pull off so that the box truck allows other neighbors and tradesmen to access their destinations. When I politely asked if he would be willing to move the truck 50 ft so that I could pass by with my truck and trailer he was rude and hostile. He told me he was working and that he didn't have to move the truck because alleys aren't public roads...
This gentleman was in a hurry and rude. My hands were full of a washing machine and I had just arrived at the customers house 3 minutes prior. And this guy starts yelling for me to move my truck or he will push it out of the way with his truck. I told him he would have to wait for a few minutes.
I was very disappointed in the move. My bed was assembled incorrectly and I was without a bed for a few days before Mike fixed the legs on the bed. The walls to my apartment were scratched when the bed was moved upstairs and the bed couldn’t be put in place because the legs were incorrectly installed on the bed. The whole moving experience was terrible and I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
I highly recommend Mike Moves Pittsburgh for all your moving needs. We just moved from Turtle Creek, PA to Eastern Maryland last week. Mike and his team were professionals and gentlemen throughout the moving process. Mike was able to give me an estimate within hours of contacting him, then he stopped by the house to give us a more accurate estimate, since the total weight of all our stuff played a big part in the total cost.
Thank you so much for your kind words & enjoy your beautiful new home! God bless!
Mike and his team were absolute professionals. From scheduling month ago, arriving on time, not letting me lift a finger, delivering everything in one piece AND incredibly fast - I am beyond thankful. Pricing is also incredibly competitive. I would have paid more!! Moving is a nightmare and these guys made it feel like a walk in the park. You wouldn’t believe how quickly they were able to pack up one stop, then another, and then unload it all at the final stop. Thank you Mike and your team.
Thanks Adam! Enjoy your new home!
Had a good experience with Mike Moves Pittsburgh. The owner of the company is organized and on top of things. He was upfront about the total cost; the amount paid on moving day was exactly as quoted. The moving team of 3 finished the local move in about 2.5 hours (although there is a 3 hour minimum). They were courteous and laid down cardboard inside the home to protect the wood floors. It was a rainy day -- they also took off their muddy shoes when moving furniture upstairs to keep the carpets clean.
Wanted to shout out Mike Moves Pittsburgh for handling my move about 2 months ago between Greensburg into Southside Flatts, Pittsburgh. Not only were they SUPER professional and came completely prepared, but I was blown away at how effectively they moved and how fair of a price it was - they were VERY transparent with their quote, and it was much more fair than some of the larger moving chains in the area. To top it off, it was a walk up (4 stories) and they had no issue handling it.
