Motivated Movers

I wish i could give ZERO stars! This was the worst move ever. The movers rescheduled my move without contacting me. The movers arrived LATE and with no moving equipment. Several of my items were damaged during the move due to the way the movers loaded the truck. Several items were broken and when i reached out to the office, I was told thats what happens when you move, items are scratched and broken.

I called to have the contents of a 2 br/2bth 1100sq ft apartment moved from on building to another IN THE SAME COMPLEX. I listed the contents online and was quoted 6 hours of work totaling @ $1480. Upon arrival, I walked the 3 man crew through the apartment and no comments were made indicating a misquote/change in price. After 9 HOURS to move this 1100sq ft apartment, I was presented with a bill totaling $2157…$700 OVER THE QUOTE. I asked to speak with a manager and was given a phone.

I have moved 4 other times and the muscle up movers couldn’t move me that Saturday They got there on time but then started slow walking me. I told them to get a move on it. All they had was boxes some furniture no sectionals or living room furniture. 45 miles and a 10c10 pluse scratchecg refrigerator and still haven’t heard from Ben. Beware and don’t use them. They will rip you off. It took 45 mile job 71/2 hours to move 42 milesv still no response from Ben.

Update: Motivated Movers has reached out to us to resolve this issue, in the form of monetary compensation of $600 for the damages table and fridge doors. Again I suggest anyone moving with them to buy insurance package. They also did send someone out to patch and paint the front door of the new home. We recently moved and chose this company because the reviews seemed good and they got back to us quickly to schedule a quote.

Stay away from Motivated Movers. The management there is only looking out for their best interests. Do not trust anything verbal you hear from them. It cost me $300 to fix a problem caused by the movers. The Huntsville store Manager tried marking up prices and hurrying up the move while also suggesting I just take a lot myself.

My experience with Motivated Movers was horrible. I previously used Motivated Movers 3 times prior to writing this review which shows the amount of trust and loyalty I had for this company. My move was scheduled on Thursday, October 26, 2019. I originally scheduled one truck with 3 men to move my belongings. Prior to the move, Motivated Movers called me to up sell a second truck and an extra man to move and stated the time would be cut in half. I accepted the offer, the following day they arrived 15 minutes late.

I never leave reviews but I literally cannot sleep because of the feeling that I have been taken advantage of. My husband is in the military and got called away to training right before we had to move so I had to go it alone with my active 9 month old. I was very anxious about it, so for a week I worked until midnight or later packing EVERY SINGLE THING and labeling EVERY SINGLE ITEM even the large things like the lawn mower and a tall stuffed animal giraffe.

They showed up around 12:15 and immediately started working getting everything moved from one house to another on the same property. They moved all the large furniture quickly and efficiently. At 1:17, they decided to leave even though there were still numerous smaller items that we needed to move ourselves. However, the company has a 3 hour minimum policy. My understanding was that if there were still things to move, they would stay and continue working for 3 hours. I would recommend looking elsewhere.
