Motivated Movers

My experience with Motivated Movers in Daphne has been mediocre at best. I've dealt with MANY moving companies over the years and while they aren't the worst I've dealt with (Allied...AWFUL) they weren't as professional as I'd like to see. They've moved items for me on two different occasions. The first time they moved some items from my house to a storage unit. In the process, they damaged my piano. To this day, they haven't repaired it.

Chris Jones gave me an estimate for 5 hours, and the move took almost 8 hours, plus we had to leave behind 5 gorilla racks that didn't fit in the truck. His 2 men showed up with no dolly because they said it had a flat tire. I suggested that they should have someone bring them a working dolly while they started loading but that was somehow not possible although their office was not far from the old house.

My family and I used them a few months ago on a significant move. One mover, Hubert, came a few days prior to moving, and made sure that everything was documented and had everything tagged and in a certain order so that it would be loaded/unloaded properly since we were moving from a 2 story house to a 3 story townhouse. We also had a friend living in one of the spare rooms, and they were NOT to load that room up, as he was moving the next day.

First off I have now spoken to three different employees at this company, Ethan, Riley & Brian, each of them was polite and professional. In spite of that I do not feel that this company is really very Motivated. We supposedly had a 1:00 PM Zoom appointment scheduled for today, after not receiving an email with the Zoom link I called, got voicemail. I left a message and soon someone returned my call telling me that their manager was trying to get the Zoom to work and would call me shortly.

I was NOT happy at all with Motivate Movers. They ‘appear’ to be sincere and dedicated to your best interest but after it’s all said and done, and I sort through my boxes, all they did was rip us off. Not to mention they have really crappy, thin, terrible quality boxes that when stacked, crumble. Not to mention they aren’t packed properly. As I began to go through and unpack, I found breakables that hadn’t even been wrapped.

Motivated Movers was hired by my ex-husband to move the remainder of his things out of my home in January. It is now late April. In the process, the movers crushed the doorframe to my back door. They acknowledged the damage at the time, took pictures, and said to send their manager an estimate from my contractor in order to get the damage fixed. I have called, left voicemails, used Facebook messenger, and emailed this company repeatedly since then in order to get the damage repaired.

the three guys who moved us were outstanding! Worked hard to get us moved in great time. Very professional. I’m giving such a low score because we had two trucks. One was a motivated movers truck one was a rented Penske truck. We get to unpacking and a few of my boxes were soaked. Unpacked sons crib bedding and felt wet but I just figured it was the humidity. Got to my plastic containers and there was an inch of water in it. This resulted in my child’s school pictures, awards, artwork being ruined.

We moved literally up the road within 2 miles radius on the same highway. They charged us over $1,300.00. We moved from 3 bedroom apartment into 4 bed home but we have yet to purachse furniture for the room. The couches were already at new home in boxes as my husband bought them and unloaded them with a friend night prior to move. They moved like snails, sat in toilet for a while, took a long lunch, went and got a drink disappearing for a while. I had drinks out for them too as well as feed them lunch.
