Motivated Movers

Let me begin by saying if you are considering using this company, rethink your decision. Let me offer my experience. I made a local move from a house in Franklin, TN to an apartment in Franklin, TN about 3.5 miles apart. The house had very little furniture in it because we had an estate sale a couple of weeks earlier. Boxes hunted to about 30. To begin with, the movers arrived an hour and a half late. Because of this the company provided three movers at the price of two. That seemed reasonable and acceptable.

Title: Billing Issues Because of Wasted Mover Time and the Unnecessary Cleanup Required by the Customer I paid this company $350.00 for three movers to simply move items from my house to the street. This turned into, what I believe to be, an unnecessary and a money/time waste. I am not happy whatsoever with the customer service level of this company. The main, on-site representative stated that they normally do not move loose/dirty items.

The actual movers themselves were great - specifically want to shout out Darius and TJ. We had a 2 part move - loading everything up into a U-Haul on Saturday and then unloading 2 days later into our new house on Tuesday. Saturday arrival time was 8AM - by 8:30 they had not shown and claimed they were waiting on one more guy before they could head out way. Ended up arriving around 9:30AM.

I hired 2 trucks and 4 people to help with a local move. The first 2 guys showed up without the other 2 and it was clear I didn't hire 4 people, I hired 2 teams and they clearly didn't like each other. One team did all the easy stuff, boxes, and then took the truck to the other house. The second team had to load all of the furniture. Before they could help unload all the hard stuff, the first two quit the company.

If you’re thinking about using Motivated Mover rethink, they damaged and then sneak around and don’t say anything. Then when you call the company they act like you’re lying. They messed up my granddaughter dresser really bad and didn’t report it the only reason they reported the dryer was because my son spotted it before they left. He work a hour trying to get the legs back on they bend and broke and now the company says well what the deal if you got it working.

Stay far away from Motivated Movers. I have moved 22 times and this was the worst experience ever. Horrible packers. Did not wrap furniture as I asked (and I had all my own moving blankets too). Did not break down furniture as I requested - so everything took more room than it should have. Basically - whatever I asked for was ignored. My couch and recliner are now ruined - since they did not pack them on their sides but instead they stacked them on top of each other with other furniture on top.

They showed up with two guys one was a disgruntle employee that did not want to be there and then about an hour after they were there he left. After one of the guys(the one in charge) started to complain about how much he needed the day off to move out of his own place but his bosses wouldn't let him off and how he was "just going to leave and find a new job." He left in the middle of the job after he broke a piece off a $5000 antique. Leaving 1 guy from the company that A. Didn't have phone and B.

We used Motivated Movers for our first move in Nashville, and we had a great experience! So we called them again for our second move to our new home expecting the same. One of the guys was great! However, the other two were not quite as exemplary. One spent more time moving the furniture we were getting rid of onto the truck (before our own stuff!), and the other just stood there.
