I contacted Moving of America back in the spring of 2023 to get a quote. The gentleman who I spoke to was frazzled, impatient, and rude. He apologized and we proceeded. I paid $96.00 and was sent a quote to sign, which I did not. My father suffered a medical emergency and I needed to change my moving plans. I called and the same gentleman said the accounting department would contact me for a refund.

I moved from New Jersey to North Carolina. I was told they handle this type of move often. I ran into issues with the closing of my home and they said "we understand and can store your items until you are ready" For the price I paid I expected much better service. So much of my furniture was damaged. I was told when they were coming not asked if I was ready. I was told I had to get a storage unit since I was not ready for my stuff.
I originally called the company almost a month ago August 26, 2023 in order to support a local business. Initially all went well it seemed as if we were on the same page- I was highly disappointed. The price quoted at the time on the phone was one thing, the quote and notes conveniently reflected something else. I was quoted 1498. and change to just move my items to their facility for which I explicitly and repeated Full Service.
I do not recommend this business to anyone. Complete bait and switch pricing. Do not let them store your items. They give you a price in writing and then take your items to their storage facility. Then when you schedule for the return of your items they tell you they will not honor the price you have in writing and try to charge you DOUBLE, and this was after we already paid thousands of dollars for the first part of our move! Completely unprofessional.
Spoke with Johnny. Tried to reach out. Find out he's had a baby with no away message. Called the office and once again was told I'll call you back. I followed up (did not receive call back) and they "don't have availability" it's funny how when you over promise and a potential client calls you out on your over promise or lack of transparency how all of a sudden you don't have availability. Update on 12/31- I received a call 6 months later offering me a gift card to revoke my review....

Thank you Moving of America for the last-minute help when we needed it most. My sister and I were unsure how to move our mother on our own, and thankfully Joey answered right away, gave us a quote, and fit us into the schedule.
