** Working with this company was a nightmare ** We move from NY to NC. They were the most disrespectful, dishonest & ruddiest company ever. Originally quoted one price, showed up with to small of a truck, and increased our cost by over $5K after multiple extremely rude phone calls. On the delivery end, after waiting all day with no calls, the truck finally showed up after 4:30 pm, demanded payment and signatures befor opening the doors.

I strongly advise against using Zip To Zip Moving. I chose them based on a recommendation from my ex, who had used them for a small move. I regret not doing more research myself. Everything began with a video estimate, which seemed reasonable, so I agreed to hire them and use their storage services temporarily since my new home wasn’t ready. On moving day, three people arrived — or so I thought.

I used zip to zip moving for a cross country move in April from New Jersey to California. On the day of my move, multiple items of mine were broken and I found one of the movers smoking cigarettes while standing at the door of the truck. When I complained, the rep Anna told me I can’t tell people not to smoke cigarettes.

At first my move was going suspiciously smooth. Once the movers arrived at our new home and began to unload they've decided to unload chaos. BOTH of our beds were heavily damaged, reassembled incorrectly and the hardware was lost! We found pieces of the bolts in our driveway and under our bed as shown in photos. The movers used an assortment of bolts from their truck, an impact wrench to assemble the bed and stripped our bed posts!
Hired Zip To Zip Moving company December 2023. First went to my office, moved my office furniture, took them 1/2 an hour, which was great, then went to my home. While working there, had dresser mirror resting against the door. While moving one employee bumped into it and broke it. To this date they will not pay for it. When they were at my house, movers said their tire pressure is low. Had compressor, gave them. took three men half an hour to put air in one tire.

I had a local move in NJ at the end of 11/2022 and had a really HORRIBLE, stressful experience with Zip to Zip. The movers were very late. The day before my move, Zip to Zip called saying that the driver assigned to my job had been hospitalized due to an accident and that my 8:00am move would be delayed until about 3:00pm in the afternoon.

These reviews are actually comical since I know 1000% you pay for your reviews. Meaning, if you write a poor review of them, THAT is when you have their attention and they find the time and the urgency to reach out to you and basically offer you some monetary amount for you to retract your negative review. I moved a year ago and it has taken me this long to calm down from the wrath I feel with this moving company.

TLDR: For a 1 bed, 1 office apartment out of state move - Estimate was $4100, actual total was $8500 (over 10k with tip). Also had to scramble to stay overnight in a hotel because of poor planning. My advice: Be wary of their online estimate tool and know that trying to do a single day move out of state is nearly impossible. Movers were pretty good but I did not feel like they were up front about the real cost. Original Review: We used Zip To Zip to move to a location 6 hours away.

I would recommend zip to zip to anyone and will use them again..george. nukri, george 2 were polite on time n corteous. Hard working nice friendly guys. They moved everything and even stopped to another house. We had alot of stuff and they definitely accomodated and took care of our belongings carefully. 5 stars to this team and will recommend anytime.. they have good skills laying the things in the truck very organized too. Thanks zip to zip.
Watched my husband try to lift one end of our oak armoire last week before the Zip to Zip movers arrived for our move from a 4-bedroom house in Trenton to Edison, and I knew immediately that hiring professionals had been the right call. The crew that showed up brought proper equipment for the heavy pieces, including a piano dolly that they used for our largest dresser.

They reviewed the situation and were able to adjust the cost to reflect the actual situation! The situation was resolved professionally and nicely! If I had to do my long distance move all over again, I’d use Zip to Zip again. But, I’d rather just not do a long distance move again. They were reasonably priced compared to other places; be as accurate as you can with your inventory, it’ll save you a bulk of the “surprise costs.” And while they are transparent about extra costs you can accrue, they are extremely high costs; it was 300$ for a few boxes and rolls of moving tape, so just make sure you’re over prepared to save money.
