MVM Moving & Storage

We used MVM in the past on two different occasions where we very pleased with the high quality of service . But due to our most recent experience, we are very unlikely to use them again. The two movers assigned were not very eager to work. When they saw the amount of boxes and furniture in storage to move they said this is going to cost you a lot of money. Mind you it was MVM that loaded the storage six months ago! Indeed they were correct. It turned out to be $1,0000 over the estimated amount.

We booked with Reliable Movers and they never showed up. When we called to find out where they were we were told that our reservation was in a "pending" status. Then the blame game started. The lady on the phone started blaming the lady that did the quote, who was conveniently unavailable to talk. Although the lady that we were talking to was the one that booked the reservation and told us that we were "good to go." Basically, their solution was that they could get us a truck and movers the next day.

Not happy. So two of the movers came in started moving my furniture and one of the guys said that there were roaches. Due to the roaches they cannot move my furniture. Saying that they cannot bring the roaches onto their truck and transfer the roaches to somebody else's apartment or house. I offered them $700 to move the furniture anyways because they were talking about having to kill the bugs and how much money that would cost. Long story short I find out later that the truck that they're driving is a RENTAL.

Horrible experience. After around 10 professional moves throughout my life and career, this was by far the worst experience. I will be brief unless of course they attempt to discredit the facts. Let me first say, the guys doing the packing, loading, and unloading were fantastic – great guys – this is a management issue. We moved out of our house in Clearwater, FL in June of 2025 and stored most of our belongings with Reliable (now MVM) for 10 months (around $800/month).

We were scheduled to move at 7am, and because of the location of our new house and low lying tree branches they were going to rent a Uhaul. The day before the move I called and confirmed with Laura, everything was set to go. Day of move the movers didn't show up until 8:15am, with NO UHAUL, and greeted us with cigarettes in their mouths smoking in our garage. The entire time the three men argued with each other and were all around very unprofessional. I was quoted by Laura for a 6-6.5 hr move.

I used them on 7/31 to load up some furniture from a storage unit into a moving truck. I drove it to another unit and while another crew was unloading the truck the following day, we noticed some damage to some pieces. I called them them on 8/2 and spoke with someone that told me about their repair service. As requested, I sent emails with pictures of damage and now I cannot get them answer or return any of my calls anymore.

Called to see if I could move scheduled time up an hour, then called day of and was hour past original scheduled time, then literally yelled at me because they were late for next job. He also said they had a terrible job the day before and a guy quit on him. Totally unprofessional. And yes it was them, booked through u haul and it was Erik with a k as mentioned on other reviews. So yes, l do have the right company, not only that but Google sent this to me to review since I had used them.

Horrible movers DO NOT HIRE THEM! They break furniture that survived NY to FL. They cla to “wrap” your furniture on the truck but if you check they only throw moving blankets on top of furniture hence it gets broken. Owner VERY RUDE and did not care. Paid $1000 to move 7 miles and get tv smashed and 2 tables broken and other furniture chipped and scraped. Worst moving company EVER!!!!!
