Shawn & Shawn Moving

We hired S&S to help us load furniture from our condo into a storage pod. While the scheduling process was straightforward, the actual experience was upsetting and we decided to share after a lack of response from the company. We were quoted for a large truck and three movers, but only two arrived. The crew members who came called to ask about why a third was not sent, and were told they were all that would be sent.

I confirmed in writing and with a call for my move scheduled for Sunday, November 2nd. Unfortunately, no crew arrived, and I was unable to reach anyone by phone or email that day. Because of this, I had to scramble to find another moving company at the last minute. As a result, I was charged nearly double what I had expected to pay based on their original quote. It was an extremely stressful situation, and I had no choice but to proceed given my work and scheduling constraints.

But I have to tell you this last move was horrible destroyed a lot of furniture tried getting hold of the owner for over three months and never called us back about the damage that was done to our furniture must’ve been at least $700 worth of damage. So will I ever recommend them again at least not with our family

I used this company once before to do a complete move with good results so I decided to call them just to move a few pieces of furniture. Something has changed within the company because previously someone always answered the phone or at least called back pretty quickly. Monday I made several attempts to call them before finally reaching someone late in the afternoon. Shawn said that he could move my pieces Friday afternoon (today) around 1. I tried to call yesterday to confirm but got no answer.

Definitely a hard no for me. I was in the process of moving and was only at the the house to let the movers in. I ordered a PODS, which I was told by the movers it would be fine size wise. Then told if we don't have room, we will let you know to order another. I got a call a couple hours later stating they could not fit everything, however it was only plates and dishes left. No big deal. I could pack those in my car myself. What I was left with once returning was a full small POD worth of my things.

I had a terrible experience with Shawn and Shawn. I hired them to move my daughters bedroom set to a small storage unit. They were supposed to arrive at 1 pm. Around 2pm I received a call from one of their movers saying he would be late because he was having problems with his current move. So I waited and waited. No call from the office so I called them. They sent another moving team who didn't arrive until 4pm. No apologies from anyone. They had to work quickly because it was so late in the day.

I have used this company before but very disappointed with the last move. Due to the fact I used them before I didn’t check the truck before they left and trusted the movers when they said everything was unloaded. Like most moves you won’t know which box is missing until you’re fully unpacked. After unpacking I realized the most important box was missing so I emailed the company. I had 2 memorial stones of deceased love ones which were gone. I know they were packed in a box and not given to me in the move.

I’m only giving them a 2 star because the father and son (Shawn and Shawn) were very nice and got me my money back from the driver/movers. We used them at the end of January when we had to move apartments, we were quoted for 4 hrs $600 for 2 men. They took the full 4 hrs and clocked us out 10 mins before the 4 hrs was up which amounted in $562.50 and my bf gave them $563 and each a $30 tip.
