We chose O'Brien's Moving & Storage to move us into our new home after initially working with Rob Deering. At first, communication was good. Rob was responsive, answered our questions, and provided information about the moving process, so we felt confident that everything was in place. Unfortunately, our experience changed significantly on moving day. Our scheduled movers were over two hours late, and Rob did not answer any of our phone calls.

Do not use this company. They moved us from PA to KY and I had to have three pieces of furniture repaired - including my antique dining room table. They lost the brackets for my dresser and I had to buy different ones that don't fit. Their movers stole the hand truck from our condominium complex. We actually have it on tape from our security camera. Allied won't replace it because it wasn't moved from PA to KY and O'brien's won't replace it because the mover they paid to move our stuff has disappeared.
If i could leave less than One Star; i would. Terrible Company. Scratched; Dented; and Gouged several pieces of Furniture. Left a Healthy Scratch on my Laminate Floor right in front of the Foyer; IMPOSSIBLE to miss as you're …
I'm preparing to downsize from a 3 bedroom to a 1 bedroom apartment in the same apartment complex. O'Brien's was my first phone call. I was attracted to their senior services since I'll need quite a bit of help with the move. A lady (I believe her name was Trish) at their Allentown location returned my call. I started to explain my situation when she interrupted me and said "Well, even though you're moving in the same complex, this is going to be very expensive.
O'Brien's certified moving consultant Robert vowed all Obrien's direct reports for my 08/20/2020 (Berks County, PA) house to house move at my request, also that they would skillfully handle disassembly & reassembly of my Sleep Number bed. Neither happened, which caused much hardship for me. They used a privately owned moving business consultant, who brought his own white moving van, and who had an O'Brien's 18 year old summer help employee with him.
We scheduled to have an estimate done after being told that our moving date was available. The day the estimate was scheduled (a week later), we got a call that our date was now filled and unless we were flexible with our move date, they could no longer help us. A week wasted, and now we have to try to find movers. So disappointing, especially in this current market.
They were the worst “moving company” EVER.... it took 16 hours for them to move us, and they didn’t do anything they did not wear masks, they were supposed to only move the big stuff and furniture. We ended up having to rent another truck …

We had a team of guys from Obrien's move our office two doors down the block today. They were terrific! Hard-working and having fun even on a hot, humid day. And, we had a difficult move with unusual-shaped/large furniture and a lot of heavy cabinets and boxes. They did it all efficiently and with great attitudes!
