In their own words
Absolutely terrible experience. This was a military move, and I would never recommend this company to anyone...military or civilian. From the beginning, it was obvious the crew lacked experience. Several of the movers told us it was their first day on the job, and it showed. One of the packers also reeked of marijuana while working in our home, which was completely unprofessional and immediately raised concerns about the care being taken with our belongings.
We have had several moves in our military career, and this was by far the worst. Besides one guy the whole crew was super lazy. They took more breaks than they actually worked….Things that were clearly labeled were put in the wrong places, and no one listened to us when we asked them to put certain things in certain places. Because of how unorganized it was everything ended up getting piled up in the garage.
Completely unprofessional. Broke our things while packing. Then damages my baseboards and put a hole in the wall. Promised me it would be fixed. Here we are 3 weeks later and still not fixed. I'm promised phone calls back and never a phone call back. I called again this morning to follow up on why I wasn't called back and why no one has reached out to my realtor to let them in to fix my walls and baseboards. The lady in the office got really ugly on the phone and stated that well he's busy and owns a company....
Wow! That was the worst move I've ever experienced. Very unprofessional. The crew was 30 minutes late, but felt the need to take their breaks on time. I'm not a professional mover, but it makes sense to start with the large items like furniture so you're not cramped with boxes when you have to reassemble. Not these guys, they feel it's best to move everything in first and then put the furniture together. I helped with most of the furniture and had to redo my son's crib because they didn't do it right.
The movers were decent, however the head guy was rushing through my drop off because he had to make it to a medical appointment. They were supposed to unpack all of my items and do to that they did not even though I requested that they do so. He assured that after I unpack my own items, they would take the boxes. Of course they did not. I called and they said next time they were in my neighborhood they would give me a call to get the boxes. I see them today and still no phone call so I write this review.
Worst experience ever. Was stationed at keesler AFB and husband got orders to Germany. gollot & sons in Gulfport were our assigned moving company. The morning of the move only two men came to pack. We sold our heavy furniture but we did have a lot of individual items that needed to be packed. They arrived at 10 AM and didn't call for backup until 4 PM. by that time 4 other men came and all of them were rude and complaining about there being so much to pack. Overall very unpleasant and rude.
Absolutely terrible. Just threw all our stuff in random boxes and didn’t label them correctly. I think we found one our daughter’s toys in each of the boxes. Just an absolutely pathetic excuse for a company. They have absolutely no respect for their client’s personal items whatsoever. The three old people they had come pack up our stuff were huffing and puffing and making it extremely obvious they didn’t want to pack our things.
My moving experience was below average with Gollott and Sons. The packing lead and supervisor were unprofessional, rude, and inconsiderate, which added unnecessary stress to the process. Their planning was poor; they initially intended to …

In their own words
We were stationed at Camp Shelby, MS with a household size of 9. Gollott and Sons was assigned our shipment for my husbands PCS. The staff was amazing from the beginning of our move all the way through til the end. The group of women who packed our belongings did so efficiently and respectfully. In less than two business days they had our place boxed up and inventoried from top to bottom. They gave us the absolute kindest and sweetest parking experience we've had to date.
The crew that came to pack up our house did a great job. Even after the once in a lifetime snowstorm, they showed up immediately after the roads were safe enough and got the job done. Chris and the rest of the guys who came to pack were very polite and you could tell they genuinely cared about the quality of their work.
Janet, Diane, and Katherine were very personable and enjoyable. Everything was packed with care and treated well. Highly recommend!
Professional employees... The office personnel very nice and friendly.. To do business with this guy's is a pleasure....
