I booked a moving service with OK Moving, and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. Their truck hit and damaged the building’s intercom while reversing, and the whole incident was clearly recorded on the strata’s security cameras. After the accident, the strata contacted me and informed me that my landlord is now being asked to pay for the repair, even though the moving company is not doing anything and this should be handled through ICBC.
We would like to clarify several important facts regarding this situation. First, the incident involved a vehicle making contact with the building’s exterior intercom. This is strictly a vehicle-related matter that must be handled through ICBC. All of our trucks are fully insured with ICBC.
Good: Polite, on time, responsive; Bad: inexperienced, appliances like TV not wrapped, furnitures unprotected and being pushed on floor, slow real slow, not working smart (not using wrap/box to move smaller items in one go) or felt like just want to charge you more before moving to their next scheduled job. 3 star for services, 1 star for outcome - 2 star blended.
