In their own words
They completely dropped the ball on our personal goods. Uhaul hired these people to transfer our household goods to another Uhaul after a breakdown. The did not load our personal belongings professionally. When we arrived at our destination, all of our household furniture was chipped, broken and cracked. Precious heirloom China was stuffed in spaces to hold a shelf up. When confronted they denied any fault and told me to take them to court. Beware, not professional, not honest.
As Paul Harvey would say, "And now...the rest of the story... Yes, U-haul hired us for a transload due to their truck breaking down. I had my crew take pictures of how the truck was loaded before we did the transload. Several items were already scratched up, due to the lack of moving pads.
Set up two weeks earlier to unload furniture from u-haul to storage unit. Small 250 pound empty gun safe the was discussed and was told “no problem, we can include that”. Met on time at the storage unit and all the furniture was properly unloaded in about 45 minutes. 2 hour minimum contract, but got done early with the last item being the safe (18”X 20” X 55” tall). The crew said it would be an extra $200 to move the empty safe.
I told your daughter that if the safe weighed over 200 pounds there would be a $200 dollar fee to unload. The safe was well over 200 pounds. The Service Agreement that she signed and dated on 4/3/2025, at 8:41pm clearly stated there would be an additional fee to move safes, pianos, or any other…
Hopefully we won't need to move again but if we do we won't be using old west. We hired them to move us from Louisiana to Tyler and not only did they show up with a uhaul that was to small for what we have (after I questioned Jerome on the size of the truck) He said not to worry. We still have to rent another truck to get what they didn't and they broke a few things but to be expected. The kicker is that even though they didn't do what they said... still charged more than they said they would.

Followed directions given on maps and the location given was to a trailer park. But the maps state that the location is the mailbox of Shiloh pines. Not rating company just not correct direction on map mintz drive.
Thank you for your feedback, Kashundra. We appreciate you taking the time to share this. While we’re sorry for any confusion with directions, we’re glad you noted it’s related to mapping/location labeling rather than the service itself. We appreciate your understanding!

In their own words
Ray and Walter with Old West Moving Assistance did an absolutely amazing job with our move to load a trailer. They worked extremely fast while also being careful with our belongings and the house. I only wish I wasn't moving so far away so I could hire them again the next time I move. Moving is always stressful, but they made the loading portion stress free. Jerome coordinated and was prompt and efficient with communication. Thank you all so much!
Thank you so much, Mitch! We’re glad to hear Ray and Walter did an amazing job with your trailer load and were able to work quickly while still taking great care of your belongings and home. It’s also great to hear Jerome’s communication helped keep everything coordinated and stress-free.
First, there are not enough stars to give this experience! Jerome, the owner, and his crew came in to a nightmare of a house, no thanks to a terrible real estate agent. They packed our entire home, and loaded our PODS about as professionally as anyone. They cared for every item and did a PHENOMENAL job. We've only used a packing and moving crew one other time and it was a horrible experience. Jerome and crew restored my faith in that there are quality companies in the industry. Thank you again!
Thank you, Brian! We’re honored by your incredible feedback. It means a lot to hear that Jerome and the team exceeded expectations and restored your confidence in moving companies. We truly appreciate your trust and recommendation!
Our move was about 1.5 miles. They were on time for packing our goods. All was packed as needed. They were here the next day promptly got the truck loaded in a timely manor. Unloading was quick and normal. All at a fair price. A good move.
Thank you for the great review, Gary! We’re happy to hear your move went smoothly from start to finish and that our team stayed on time, careful, and efficient throughout the process. We appreciate you recognizing the value of our service and are grateful you chose Old West Moving LLC!
Jerrome and the guys were FANTASTIC!! They worked quickly but also carefully. We had them move our household goods from a 40’ connex in our front yard in to our recently fully redone home. Our furniture is all big and/or heavy and they moved it all in triple digit heat and humidity with a smile. All of our items were in the condition that we put them into the connex in. We had no damage to our HHG or home and they even put some items up at the road for us and moved a couple of things twice for me.
Thank you so much, Barbara! We’re truly grateful for your detailed and thoughtful review. It means a lot to hear that our team handled your move with care, efficiency, and professionalism—even in tough conditions. We appreciate your trust in us and your recommendation!
