Olde World Movers - Euless

I've moved with this company 3 times. The first two times were good, however, this last time not so much. I paid for 3 guys, but the 3rd guy did nothing the whole time he was there and just disappeared halfway into the move. He apparently quit and called an Uber to come get him. Olde World did refund 1/3 of the labor to make up for the absent 3rd guy. The problem though is that since he wasn't there to help, the 2 remaining guys damaged several pieces of my furniture and the flooring and walls at both homes.

Since they're the closest to me, I decided to give them a call. I asked very simple questions about their rates and what was included. The guy that answered the call came off as extremely rude. I will admit that I politely asked him to repeat a few things because of his accent and fast talking. Frank (the name I THINK I heard), quickly became annoyed and was very short with his answers. It was almost as if answering my questions became an extreme chore that physically pained him.

called them for a friend to get some pricing for her. after they told me a rate that was actually nice she went ahead and scheduled with them. not only were they hours late getting to get house, but charged her $200 more than what we BOTH were quoted. she ended up getting it knocked off as a "favor" by one of the movers but in all actuality it shouldn't have been that much at all, especially considering the wait we had to endure. probably won't use them when it comes for me to move.

Horrible Service.!!! I went first thing in the morning, as Yelp states it opens its doors at 8:00 am, and some workers were outside the building waiting for instructions. I greeted them and ask if it was opened and one of them said don't know you may want to try the doors to which they were locked but I could see an older guy sitting there chatting with another employee. I knocked and the employee said, “he will be with you in a couple of minutes.” I said ok.

I was looking forward to using this company due to the excellent reviews but was extremely disappointed in the service we received. I had asked the lady who booked our move over the phone if the movers would be required to wear masks. I was reassured twice that the movers would definitely be wearing masks during our move. When they arrived they were not wearing masks, we asked them to put masks on and received rude responses and refusal to wear one.

We hired Olde World Movers to move our home only 7 miles back in June. We originally quoted $2500, but got them down to $1500, for 8 hours (they wanted to wrap everything) and 3 men, which is still way too high but I read reviews and with them anyways. On moving day, everything seemed fine, but during the day, the guys were taking very frequent smoke breaks, granted it was hot, but when I'm paying a lot of money for 8 hours, I want to get done and before the 8 hours is up.

I'm retired military and have used quite a few movers in the past. World movers showed up on time and the workers were friendly. They're attention to detail was terrible. The individual that packed the kitchen missed three base cabinets and the knife drawer. The missed items in the master bedroom closet as well as a closet in the main living space with a carpet cleaner and upright vacuum which they had tagged then left in the closet.

It's been several days since the fateful move. Each day I've watched my wife in tears saying "Why did they hate us so?". The move started simply enough. The movers came in with an attitude that continued to get more surely as the day wore on. In addition to the foul language we constantly heard the phrases "it will break but that's not MY problem", "we don't do that", and "that's too fragile to move" (referring to a Bose subwoofer).
