Small Move Same Day movers cancelled the day of my move because it was “hot” and overbooked. They blocked my father’s phone calls and stopped answering my messages once they cancelled. I now have to pay $450 more for a rushed moving fee. I called Small Move Same Day Fort Worth and confirmed a move for 8/1. After booking, the company sent a confirmation and the day of the move asked for confirmation. When I confirmed they cancelled the move.
Do not, I repeat DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They were all friendly when I called to get a quote. He told me to make sure to pay the deposit several times. I went online to request the quote as told, then had email to pay the $50 deposit. Never received a confirmation email indicating that the Deposit was paid or confirmation of the delivery date, time, etc. But I took that as it was late Friday and let it go. My move was to be Wednesday October 4.
If you are desperate to move something small and are willing to pay a fortune per hour to do that, this is the company to use! I gave them all of the information needed to give me a decent quote on my storage relocation. I had 2 storage units that were 10' x 20'. I knew that they weren't quite full and a group of large appliances were staying. They quoted 3 hours (that's pretty normal for moving companies) and stated that additional hours are $180 each. I also priced about 5 other movers in the DFW area.
Firstly, we have more than one moving truck on the road and they are all 16ft box trucks. In addition to that, we tell all customers that we only send out 2 man crews because we specialize in "small" moves. This being said, we explained this to you prior to your move.
I made an appointment for Saturday May 25th at 1:00pm. At 2:03PM Steve let me know that they were 13 minutes away. They went to my apartment instead of the storage unit and took an additional 25 minutes to get to me. After they finished loading my 4 items I met them at my apartment. They unloaded my items and brought them up the stairs to the third floor where I live. They were finished around 4pm. The following day (which is today) I got my TV mounted which was one of the four items they brought up.
Tamar, all my movers moved to or you was 4 items from your storage unit, which was a piece of cake in comparison to most of our moves. As far as your TV goes, it was wrapped up by whomever placed it on your storage from your last move.
EDIT: 7/10/26 Unfortunately, after not hearing back from the business for 24 hours, I followed up with email trying to solve this professionally, and gave them until Monday to respond or I would contact the BBB. After letting them know I would contact the BBB, they emailed back saying that it would be impossible to refund fully or partially because I didn’t let them know beforehand that the couch may not fit in the elevator at the new apartment.

I generally don't write bad reviews on companies. But, buyer beware! I sent the information to SMSD via text and have the messages to prove that I informed them of the fact that this was TWO units that were being moved! The responder wants to call me a scammer for calling his people out. But, I'm sorry, I don't pay this kind of money for LONG bathroom breaks! The two man team might have been better if there was any sort of urgency to their work. There wasn't.

This move was a nightmare!!! Make sure you ALWAYS list exactly the items to move. They came in a U-Haul truck.? It could hold the smaller storage unit, apparently what I listed was not checked for size of truck needed for the other. Very disappointed with the attitude of the "in charge" person,who showed up 15 minutes( in the john) after the truck driver had arrived. His attitude was very confrontational with issues he had to check with His boss!!
DO NOT USE this company. We scheduled a move, paid a deposit on June 10th, they were scheduled for June 25th between 9-10 am. Morning of, they called at around 9:15 to say they were 20 mins away. Afterwards they went completely silent. No calls back, no texts, no nothing. We called many times! We’ve been sitting here with all of our stuff packed up and no movers. Around 12pm, we found out they weren’t coming when we checked our bank account and saw they had quietly returned our deposit!

A year ago when I moved to FW, there were flyers for "Small Move Same Day" and I kept the flyer just in case I moved. A year later, I needed to move to another unit in my apartment and I still had their flyer. The process to book them was easy, get a quote then call the number and confirm your moving date. The Move was FAST! I kept telling the two men who helped me that they were fast lol they came early to my apartment and as soon as they saw my apartment they went to work!

Where to start... My movers were late and didn't bother to call me to inform me, I had to call to find out. I get a call 1 hour after they were to arrive, and they said they'd be here by 10:30. Time rolls around, I get a call at 10:30 saying they were finally on their way. They were to be packing and moving my mother from one assisted living to another. I'm on a time schedule and only have a sitter for a certain time to be able to do this move.
