Worst moving company we have ever been assigned to with a military move. Not only did items come severely damaged, but items were missing and boxes came smashed, resulting in a lot of damaged household goods. Our master bed came missing an essential board, rendering the bed unstable as it was unable to be reassembled. We had a set of four identical patio chairs. Three were delivered, but no one could tell us what happened to the fourth chair.

While the moving process itself was straightforward, and they did a good job protecting my stuff, there were a couple of issues; The movers showed up an hour late, and then told me I was being charged for the "State required truck inspection", that they were kind enough to not charge me for my break (They can't, according to law) and misrepresented the time sheet.

Dshs and both olympic moving and northwest move were involved in the process. Everything was treated for pest control multiple times prior to the move movers did not follow instructions. Unpacked and repackaged things that were already sealed. Added extra boxes around boxes that were labeled not bothering to label new boxes. Scramble contents of different room items into the same boxes scrambling the room assignments.

Sidewalks are not parking spots for trucks, but it seems Olympic Moving & Storage thinks they are. These pictures are from today October 11 2025 outside of the SLU Google. This sidewalk has heavy pedestrian traffic and there is no bike lane to step off onto, you have to go directly into the lane in the road to get around this truck. Reported to the city of Seattle, and perhaps some re-training would be prudent for your drivers.

The driver ripped the phone line off the side of the house by backing into it. and then tried to deny it and argued belligerently in the middle of the street right next to the sagging line when I came out to help. Then tried to cut the line …
Mr. Lively, this has been escalated all the way to ownership. We will be investigating the matter further, and are certainly interested in hearing more details which would allow us an attempt to resolve this situation.
Hired Olympic moving and storage for our loading day as we were getting ready to do another military move across the country for 6 hours. We hired services for loading pre packed boxes and wrapping up big items such as our beds and dining …
Ellen, It sounds like a disappointing experience. When we load into a container, because of the nature of the process we do our best to protect your items, but they are outside of our control. Yes, it sounds like it was a long day, but loading 11,000 lbs of goods is a very hard task.
I called first thing this morning to book a move. The receptionist was great! She sent the form for an estimate and gave me times available to move 4 items in our home. Unfortunately the guy who sends the estimate didn't get back to me …
Packing crew was cool and super professional but once it got onto the truck everything changed. Mangled bed parts, and improperly crated televisions resulting in cosmetic and functional damage.

Josh, Kolby, and Ashton were the best movers I’ve had in 16 years as an Active Duty Marine. I’ve moved consistently every 3 years or so, and these 3 gentlemen are by far the best example of hard workers and professionals. They were fast, effective, and clean. Thank you guys!
