Absolutely AWFUL! We purchased a piano from this store and was a huge mistake. For starters when they woman called to schedule the delivery she was incredibly rude. Her delivery was unprofessional when asking questions like, "are there steps going into the house". When the movers arrived for the delivery, they came a day earlier than they were supposed to. I explained my husband and I were at work and could not come home. She told me they would have to charge us for storage for everyday it wasn't delivered.
Hello Cristina, that sounds like a frustrating and unusual experience, but we have no record of you as a customer, and we have customer records of every piano delivered. There must be some confusion. There are several other pianos stores in the Atlanta area that all have piano in the name.
Warning that this shop will NOT tune or help diagnose any issues with your piano if you decide to buy a piano elsewhere after visiting them. Sam called me a couple weeks after my visit to check if I was still interested in some grands I looked at and I told him that I had made a purchase elsewhere. He proceeded to use scare tactics to try to get to buy from him.
Hello Pat. I'm sorry you are disappointed, but I stated clearly that we do not service pianos purchased elsewhere while under another dealer's warranty. I offered names of qualified, independent piano technicians to work with you.
I went to Piano Works to buy a new piano because it came highly recommended from quite a few people. I worked with Sam and he was wonderful to work with at first. He was very knowledgeable about the pianos and gave me some insight about the ones I was looking at. I ended up buying the Casio GP 400 because Sam told me that he never had a problem with this piano. I absolutely LOVED the action on this piano and immediately fell in love with it. Also, the piano sounded incredible in their showroom.
For clarity, this review and reply was originally posted by Paul in April, 2019. An update to Google reviews left off the reply. Hello Paul, I'm sorry we were never able to work to a favorable solution.
This is an awesome place no doubt but someone with a creative mind cant sit at a piano and ask questions without someone being indirectly rude while waiting on an instructor to get out of a lesson to try to make arrangements, the sales representative was rude i would not come back at all and this discourage me from working with teachers that works there 😒😒😢😭😭

In their own words
I used their service to move the piano. I’d say communication could be better, I got a schedule delivery window of 12.30-2.30p they picked up around 1.30p but the drop off was ended up at 5.30p. So, if anyone have a schedule I suggest to free your day up in case you get the same situation like I did. Also, I didn’t get any updates of delivery estimate time until 2 hours after the pick up and I had to call the company. The lady on the phone , Carrie, was prompt and friendly, customer service is great.
Hello Golda, we had a last minute addition to pickup a piano at Atlanta Airport that day (international shipment), that threw our entire schedule out of order. I apologize and appreciate your patience.
We had an old piano that was never good but had multiple problems that made it not worth repairing. We decided that due to a number of constraints that a digital piano was going to be our best path towards having something playable. After spending some time at other stores where they didn't really know anything about pianos and had limited selection we stumbled into Piano Works. Derek was really helpful in talking to us about what we were looking for and helping us identify what options we had.
Went to look at pianos. good selection and good pricing. Wide range and brands available. Wonderful and knowledgeable sales people.
Thank you, Matthew. I'm glad you had a good experience.
Chris and Brandon moved our 1905 Steinway model B Grand piano from Dacula, GA to Athens, GA. these men were highly professional piano movers. They were careful, friendly, clean, and proficient. I highly recommend these gentlemen and piano works to move any piano we own or will ever own. our great service and treatment started when I called to inquire about piano moving services. Carrie answered the phone with an upbeat, positive, Knowledgeable, and friendly attitude. She put my mind to ease.
