PODS Moving & Storage

Military Moves beware! For Military families we know how stressful moving can get and especially with frequent moves you learn to just pack your own stuff to avoid months of waiting for reimbursement for damaged goods. The convenience and idea of PODS is great! In fact our whole move went really smooth and customer service was great. Deliveries and pick ups on both ends from departure and arrival went perfectly.

The driver wouldn't pick up the container because of the weather, then marked it as picked up anyway, and has now been sitting in our driveway for two weeks! We've called their 800 number a million times, and when they attempt to contact the Conway PODS facility it always goes to voicemail. So unprofessional! Our customer number is 169334087. Maybe we should turn it into an office or recording studio!

There was a delay by PODS and they never compensated us for their problem. Meanwhile we had to adjust our crazy schedules to accommodate them. Grrr!

These crooks continued to place additional charges to our visa, and ripped us for an additional $2,000. Over our original cost of $10,000. These people will steal all kinds of arronious fees and charges. DO NOT USE this company - they're really underhanded and very slippery!

The delivery and pickup of our POD from our starting point was great. I scheduled the delivery to our new home well in advance and was told it would be here on Monday, May 17. On that morning, we received a call that said it had been delayed. Until the following Saturday. There was no explanation of why and no apparent recognition of the problems the delay might cause. I asked to be contacted by someone in customer service, saying I wanted my billing to be adjusted due to the problems they created.

We're currently moving from OH to SC and sincerely regret using the PODs to move. We've spoken with at least 3 people so far and each has told us something different. We were given a price and said we had until xx day to confirm and get that price. I called back and, no that's not correct your offer already expired, the new price is more expensive. After we agreed on the new price we get emails about a better discount, but when I call they tell me they can't apply that discount (that they emailed directly to me).

Unbelievably bad. $6.25/mile to deliver my PODS to my new home in another state. Spent >8 hours on hold, on chats with an idiot chatbot, and on calls with people who tried to help but the systems wouldn't let them (no exaggeration. I documented it). Mice got into one PODS while in storage, ruining rugs. Scheduled deliveries were cancelled without warning, then not honored.

DO NOT USE PODS! My belongings were in a 16ft storage container in Gardiner, ME for about a year before being delivered to the Conway facility. Upon unpacking my belongings, I discovered that everything was covered in dust, dirt, and leaves and smelled FOUL. Turns out, I found a mouse nest in one of the boxes and a massive pile of feces. There’s mysterious brown stains on the boxes and splattered all over a glass top table and I can only assume it is urine.
