Two Men and a Truck moved some items but turned my move into one of the most frustrating service experiences I’ve ever had. They claimed my couch couldn’t be moved, even after borrowing my drill to take the feet off (shouldn’t a moving company bring their own tools?), wasted extra billable time on trial-and-error before giving up, then hauled it back to my old address. Within hours, I got another business out — they got it in without a single issue.

ALERT: READ BEFORE YOU USE THIS COMPANY! I would never use this moving company again. During our move, the movers damaged our fireplace console, jammed the drawers on other furniture, and after delivery the electric fireplace no longer worked. I reported the damage immediately while the crew was still at my home and sent photos before they even left. Later, a neighbor told us they watched the movers force the fireplace console into the elevator, which explains how the damage likely occurred.

Sandi, I absolutely respect your right to express your opinion. Truthfully, the only reason I am responding to this (as we have already discussed this) is to defend the 2 movers, Dewey and Mike.

When I was getting a quote Kyle told me that the clock would start at 630 am when the crew arrived at the shop. I think they would have charged me if I hadn't questioned about it. They didn't charge me until they arrived at the move site. Watch for that. The crew did a great job loading our things carefully. However when they got to the new location, things went downhill. I think the appearance of the house intimidated them even though it was only two flights of stairs.

Thanks Mr. Peebles. We appreciate your honest feedback. It sounds like things definitely could have gone smoother. We will make sure to take your feedback and use it in our training process. Thanks for your business.

Update : Came back to update my review. It's been nearly a year since I moved . I'm still trying to find certain things and a lot of my items were broken, including a picture that belonged to my father that cannot be replaced. Apparently it was broken and trashed but I wasn't told about it !! I absolutely do NOT recommend this company !!! It's been a month since I moved. I really appreciated Greg saying he would take good care of me during this move. The 3 guys sent were very nice & polite.

We do apologize for the experience you had with our team. Usually, when we utilize the van for "overflow" items we are doing so for no additional charge with the intention of saving our customers money. We know that paying for a second truck or a second trip can be expensive.

Unfortunately our experience was not the best. Hiring a professional moving company we expected experienced professionals and that is far from we received. I understand that we sign waivers before our move and they do not cover tvs but state they do protect them. Two TVs I asked if they were going to wrap them and I was told they would and they did not. Which ended up having a nice scratch on the screen that wasn’t there before.

I am sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with our moving team. Unfortunately, the best way to move TVs is with their original packaging. However, that doesn't always guarantee safety due to their fragile design.

Wow, I wish I had the same experience as these other wonderful reviews! I had moved intrastate with a different Two Men location/franchise a couple of months earlier, but didn't think each franchise would vary so greatly. It started out fine, Tabitha got everything set up and she was great. The team arrived on time, no issues there.

I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with us. If we knew our staff was not being effecient we would have definetely addressed the matter at that time. We do provide price estimates prior to the move.

I do not recommend this company. The movers dragged my furniture across the floor and damaged all of my furniture. They broke the leg off my hutch and blamed it on a "faulty" leg. My entry table was damaged when the man dragged it across his truck. A large piece was broken from the leg. On my hutch there are drag marks. First the driver attempted to say the damage was there to begin with. Then all he said was "sorry" about the damaged furniture. I called and spoke to the "manager".

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. My experience with this company was not much to desire. During my move, they damaged several pieces of furniture. During the move, the movers agreed about the damage which went on the report as damaged furniture and they still refused to insure the pieces. The manager called and stated that he would not cover the damage and tried to say that it was prior damage. If that was the case, why would your movers agree to the damage and place it on the report??
Reply from the business

Mr. Lightcap, we are sorry you feel that way, however, the damages were obviously preexisting. We were not the company that put your items in storage a year ago, although from my over 20 years experience in the moving business, i feel those damages occurred even prior to that.

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

What a wonderful experience working with 2 men and a truck. The loading team were awesome and professional. They cleared our storage area quickly and were cautious at the same time to ensure no damage to our property. We had a hiccup with our closing which delayed the furniture delivery to later in the day. Mike at the Conway office worked with us through the day and when we finally settled for our new home (hours later) they sent the truck back out to deliver our furniture.

Two Men and A Truck just moved us from Murrells Inlet, SC to Palm Coast, FL. The quote was not the cheapest, but after experiencing our move it represented Excellent Value! The communication when scheduling the move was great, whey checked in before the move to make sure that we were ready. On the move day, the team of 3 (Joe, Payton, CJ) arrived right on time. They were extremely well organized. They walked the house first to get a feel for the items to be moved, then packed in a very methodical way.

We were extremely satisfied with the service we received from Two Men and a Truck. Using a video-call app they viewed our possessions to be moved, and gave us a very accurate estimate of anticipated time and charges. When I discovered a few extra large things and added them, there was no problem with them amending the estimate paperwork. We were very last minute (called them on a Tuesday for a move the following Monday) and they were able to accommodate us.

I'm not sure if it was a good value or not as I didn't get another quote. Two Men and a Truck was recommended to us and we just went with it as we had a small move locally. Our move was small but complicated, we had a move that encompassed four different houses. We received top notch service all the way from when we called in, Troy was the person that came out to the house to access the move and he was great.

Ana, that is great to hear! I will share this with the guys. Your kind words should bring a smile to their faces.
