PODS Moving & Storage

Be careful working with pods, the concept is great, and we were excited that we could load a pod, have it shipped away and delivered to our new home when we were ready to move. However, when we received our pod, there was water damage to our Boxes, mold, and mildew amongst the contents in our boxes, there were rat droppings throughout, and chewed up material from clothing, towels, and blankets by rats. I would use caution when dealing with this company.

The worst transportation company I've ever seen. The container left in front of our house was not taken on the scheduled date. We have already moved from the house and the daily rental fee is charged for the container standing in front of the door. total I have to pay $1050 !!! We have been trying to get in touch with customer service over and over again for a week, but the customer service agency who is on the phone is so incompetent and rude.They give us a pick-up date 20 days later, which is June 5 and my pick…

I packed my Pod in New York in 15 F weather and they picked it up in 20 F degree in New York. Now my POD is delayed 3 days because it will be 37 F degrees in Texas. I am glad I did not choose them to ship my cars or I would be paying for a rental this entire time. Now its going to be two weeks that they have had my stuff. Instead of moving my POD the first week, they wait until the last minute and now they delay my delivery. I drove the same distance in an RV in two days.

Horrible experience **** beware **** DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS. I had a horrible experience from the beginning, being lied to, manipulated and scammed. They charged me extra fees to deliver at a specific time and they completed missed my delivery and didn’t even deliver it on the schedule date!!! They told me the next day at 7am the truck will deliver my container and I still don’t have it and the warehouse is only 20 minutes from my house!!! Save your money and don’t get scammed.

Bait and switch. Will tell you a discount applied. Email the quote without discount and then when try to get them to correct it they won't. Now they have your stuff held hostage so no negotiating power to lower bill to correct amount. Won't do business again with them! Better storage options out there. Oh they'll also show up 8 hours past the delivery window and get bounced around to many different locations and reps on customer service line.

Do not use PODS if you are moving the the Knoxville TN area. I was told my container could be delivered to "anywhere near Knoxville". Then I bought my house and tried to schedule delivery only to be told they don't deliver to my zip code. I was lied to by the sales associate just so they could get me as a customer. I talked to customer service Tier II reps multiple times and they did not resolve my issue.

1. Beware of the quote they give you. Read the sizes and the estimates carefully no matter what they tell you will fit. Making you get additional containers seems to be their business plan. 2. Be aware that if there is a problem, you will spend hours and hours on hold and then they won't be of any help once you reach someone. 3. Check all charges carefully! The amounts are not the same as what you expect and the paperwork is done in such a confusing way that it's hard to determine what is happening.

BEWARE!!! Would NOT recommend! On the initial call and setup you are told you have 30 days to fill, transport, and offload your POD. I was told my transit from NJ to TX will take approximately 4 days which is part of your 30 days. When I called to setup the transit I was then informed it would now take 13 DAYS!! This caused a problem as it fell on the last day of the 30 day rental. Keep in mind there is a 3 day grace period, but if the third day falls on a Sunday you lose that day.
