Ponte Vedra Movers

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My roommates and I called Ponte Vedra Movers and were quoted 2 men for $95. We were told that they would arrive at my apartment at 2:00PM but to be a little patient because they may be an hour or so late. They showed up 5 hours late which was not 7:30 PM. Not only did they show up late, but they showed up with 3 men, which at the time we were thrilled because we were wanting to get this move over with.

As they unloaded the truck much of our furniture and artwork was not wrapped in anything. Almost all of our furniture was scratched and chipped. My dining room table was beyond repair with scratches, my antique dressing table had to be refinished. I am missing boxes that had my cat and dogs ashes, my parents flags from their funeral, Christmas decorations and more.

Worst experience with any service company of my life. The owner is the most dispicaple human being I've ever been in contact with. Frodulent company. Forced me into getting additional storage units overnight as the move went until 4:30 am (for a 3 bedroom home without any appliances and with 6 men and 2 trucks). Conveniently for him the storage units belonged to a "friend".

This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Not only that they are the most unorganized and dishonest company as well!!! Do not use this company unless you want to get overcharged for their employees "getting lost" and taking up about 7 hours of your time Due to dragging their feet and not knowing where they are going even though it was right down the street from the business. The owners are horrible and do not compensate for any shortcomings whatsoever.

Scenario happened to you, would you recommend Please read the following scenario before choosing a moving company. Whether long distance move or local move, damage can be minimal or major with household goods. Several long distance moves with United, Mayflower, Atlas, Allied, and several local moves using two men and truck. Long distance move February 2015. Last repair to damaged goods from this move was September 2015. All goods restored to new appearance and satisfied with United.

I have been a realtor since 2008 and over the years have recommended PV Movers to many clients. Naturally, for a personal move, I chose to have them handle moving the furniture only. Unfortunately, it was a disaster. Not only did it take significantly longer than it should have, furniture, walls and hardwood floors were damaged in the home we were leaving and sheetrock in the new home we moved to was damaged also in the process.

Would NOT recommend using Ponte Vedra Movers, we had an array of issues from the jump using these people. First of all, the woman who answers the phones could definitely be more professional and courteous, it’s almost like it was a hassle for her to quote the move and help us. The day of the move, the movers were late to the appointment time and did not seem ready, even though we gave plenty of information about the apartment beforehand.

DO NOT USE!! Horrible owner/customer service on the phone, excellent guys actually moving the stuff. When I made the reservation I inquired about holding the stuff for a few nights. The lady told me that as long as it's under a week, they could hold our items on the truck for $75 a night. Otherwise they partner with A1A storage and they would get me a good rate from there. I said great, we'll pay the truck fee because we anticipate it being 1-3 days max until we close on our new house.
