In their own words
I used this company in August 2018 and wrote a review, which Jeff asked me to remove since I couldn't prove it was his employees and that I could damage his business. I don't want to damage the business as it sounds like he has a reliable and responsible crew at this time, but it August of 2018 one of the workers stole a jar of money while loading my belongings. Almost three years later and I have yet to find that jar of money. It was in the living room with items I was moving myself and tools I needed that day.

"I requested an estimate and they are unable to provide clear and precise information. Incapable of giving a clear and simple quote. Ambiguous in determining prices. It seems like they are speculating instead of providing a service. How can one hire them if they don't know the total cost because they leave everything to 'we'll see'? In the end, the price ends up being five times more expensive than what was estimated. I'm sure they decide how much more to charge based on the customer's appearance too.

Superficially friendly crew who tackled a big job, clearly big for them anyway, at a very premium rate, but the service was far from premium. I have moved across the country multiple times and locally using professional movers, but never suffered as much damage to home and property as during this move. Furniture was dropped on the floor throughout the move without apology, boxes packed without paper so that even seemingly almost indestructible items sustained damage.

Hi! I hired Potomac Moving Company for a move from a 3 bedroom apartment in Leesburg Va to a river walk townhouse in Alexandria Va. The guys gave no courtesy call prior to move. Finally when the movers showed up a hour passed scheduled move.. they had attitudes did not follow any protocols from me or the apartment building that was I moving from. Walls had been damaged without it being brought to my attention. My glass items destroyed. Absolutely the worst moving experience this that I witnessed.

In their own words
Potomac Moving Company movers were professional, courteous, and responsive. One of the movers on the team sent to me spent a lot of time on his cell phone and dropped a couple of items (luckily they were not fragile). It also took the moving truck over an hour to make a 30 minute drive from my old residence to the new one. Overall it was a positive experience and a great value compared to most of the other companies I got a quote from.

Dear Mikayla, Thank you very much for your wonderful review! We are very happy to hear that everything went smoothly from booking your move until the last box was delivered. It means a lot to us that our office team and movers helped make the whole process easy and stress-free.
Jeff was super helpful answering questions and ensuring the move went well. His team worked with energy and effort. We got hung up on the I95, so the cost went up due to traffic/ time, but not due to any lack of effort on the part of the team.
Dear Teakay, Thank you for taking the time and posting a review. Thank you for choosing us. It has been a pleasure working with you on this project. Unfortunately traffic is not something that we can control and living in DC area it always comes in to play.
