Negative 1 star. Where do I begin? Booked 5/16/25. Move date 5/30 from a window 1 PM-3 PM. At 1:28 pm received a call from the mover to inform me that they would be arriving late at 4 pm. Called the company, explained the inconvenience, and asked will I would be compensated for that. She responded No initially, because she said he contacted me, but dismissed the fact that their late but this shouldn't be a problem since they can't rush a move, but this unprofessional elderly lady proceeded to tell me during this…
Wish I could give zero stars. They broke a bookshelf and a hutch while moving us. When I tried to file a claim with their insurance they said that hutch should have never been moved in the first place. The hutch was in perfect condition and I should have been reimbursed. It was a very expensive piece. They sent me a check for $30 for the bookshelf. Do yourself a favor and don't use them. What a slap in the face.

I used Powerhouse Moving and Storage for my move from Texas to Georgia in July 2024. The initial set up and contract process went smoothly. The company delivered my furniture and boxes and upon putting things up, I realized that the ergonomic chair I used for my desk for work was jammed and not working. The chair is expensive as all ergonomic chairs generally are.
Update jessica and her sister did a good job, but the 3rd lady sent was absolute garbage at helping unpack. She threw my shoes on the floor and dumped boxes of unhung clothes on my closest floor. I asked that all clothes on hangers be hung up in closets and she didn't open any boxes. She was literally hiding in my closet for an hour and hung up one box. She stuffed boxes in closets that weren't supposed to go and just dumped items on the floor.
AVOID. Paid $480 for move, plus 100 tip to move 3 rooms to a storage unit. After moving, they then started texting me asking for more money after quoting 125 hour that only took them 3 hours. Since I didn't comply with text, now telling me I'm a thief and they are calling the police. TOO NUCH DRAMA!!!!

I had an excellent experience with Powerhouse Moving & Storage! From start to finish, the entire move went smoothly and professionally. Ebrahim and the team did an outstanding job—they were punctual, careful with my belongings, efficient, and made the whole moving process much less stressful. Ebrahim was especially great to work with. He was professional, friendly, and made sure everything was handled properly and placed where I wanted it in my new home.
The morning of my move, Abraham and his helper ( I forgot his name, great guy), showed up at my house a 1/2 hour early excited to get to work. As many of you may know who have moved, something always gets nicked up or broken somewhere along the way. I will tell you that the care these gentlemen take in wrapping everything almost excessively, is something to behold. The communication between the two of them while moving huge heavy objects up small staircases, is a master class in how it should be done.
Powerhouse Movers are fantastic! Ebrahim goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are taken care of, accommodated and satisfied. This by far, has been the best moving experience I have ever had. I can’t recommend Powerhouse Moving and The Egyptian Magician enough! Do yourself a favor and let them move you the next time you are making a transition in life. They will make it so much easier and a lot less stressful on you! It truly has been a great experience! 10/10 recommend!!!
