Progressive Moving

This was a horrible moving experience. Movers were over an hour late past the time frame. I was originally told they would arrive between 1-2. When he called to confirm the day prior, he now said 12-1. Movers did not show up til 2pm. Total disaster bc I had new furniture arriving at my new place based on his time. Long story short, they took advantage of a nice person. They took their sweet time.

Great guys and pretty good service. They were on time and friendly. Offered me water because I I was getting hot moving stuff to my car. When going to second location they left before me and I arrived before them. I understand with a big vehicle you have to go slow and they said they hit construction, so that may have been true. It did almost cost me another hour but they didn’t charge me for a few minutes over the time. My couch got a little scratch but nothing dramatic.

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! Coming from a UT Austin college student. Hello! I never write google reviews, but I just wanted to warn everyone to NEVER hire these guys for any of your moving needs. I was moving from Hyde Park to a storage unit, and the movers caused a large hole in the back of my wardrobe. But that’s not the WORST thing that happened. I am a college student and I have to pay for everything, so I wanted to rehire these guys since they are affordable. However, you pay for what you get.

Stay away form this moving company! In fact run away as fast as possible. Their sales team is very good at selling you services they do not stand by. First, I had to give them a list of everything in our move(which I did) they tell you you can add or change this before the move. They tell you they need a week pick up window before to expect your delivery to get you your stuff in a week but then tell you the week of pick up "Oh we have up to 30 days and can't guarantee delivery date or even a ballpark date." Where do I begin what a moving company with the horror story that I experienced on April 18th, 2026. First off they were 4 hours late to my home. The lack of timely communication was very unprofessional. The reasons I was given were this , ( It was raining ) & ( They were running late from another moving job that was 30 minutes away from me). Both of the movers worked slowly and I can only attribute that to the hourly rate of pay the were charging. ( The longer it took them to move me the more they made.

The movers stood us up. At 9:30am the day of our scheduled move, I received a text from Jimmy saying they would no longer be available to move us. What?! We worked countless hours packing in preparation for their arrival in our order for my 80-yr-old mom to transition smoothly into her senior living apt. Despite scheduling 2 wks ahead & confirming verbally & thru text, we were stranded with no help & a deadline to have her things moved out.

Unprofessional and Unreliable! This company ghosted me the day of my scheduled move, even after confirming the day prior. My scheduled appt was for 3-4pm by 4:10pm when no one showed or even contacted me, I took it upon myself to send a text to see if anyone was coming. I received a response of “let me check” after waiting another 35 mins I then followed up with another text asking for an update… no response! I even called the office 3 times to see if I could physically speak with someone, again no answer!

This company came highly recommended by a friend that’s like a brother to me. I called spoke to Jimmy Wright, he gave me an appointment time for 7/10 arrival time between 10-11. I called and requested to receive a text message when the guys were 20 minutes away. At that time he said they may be running a little late. Now to me a little later is 15-30 minutes even an hour for movers. There is nothing little about 3 hours late. We received no apology nor were we told we would be compensated for the tardiness.
