This company had a very nice reputation prior to the change in owners in 2018 (the time period in which I used their services). I am still finding damage to my furniture where it had been covered up with "scratch cover" by the movers. They did quite a bit of damage, not only to my furniture, but to the home I moved into (damaged wood floors and stair rails). The movers were under a severe time constraint, imposed by the company owner.
Hello Penelope, I do recall your move from one and a half years ago. I was unaware of any damages to your furniture or your home. I recall having a nice conversation with you after your move and giving you the number of a local handyman to hang some pictures and do some other odds and ends around…
Having moved repeatedly for the past five years, I have worked with a wide variety of people. I have also worked as a piano mover for about two years. Their pricing is really only for people with more money than brains, unfortunately. These guys nearly killed me with the bill. Really not worth that much and overstaffed, frankly. I imagine the movers are well compensated because this is nuts. Pricing across North America so far has been one-third of Ron’s prices. It’s New England.
I used Ron’s moving 3 times in 2.5 months. Third time was not a charm however!! A few things got broken, something’s were dirty, and not every thing was put where it should have gone. Most of the guys were great but there is always one bad apple to upset the apple cart. Jay was a jerk!
Yvonne we are sorry your expectations were not met that time around!!! Please let us know if you call in the future we will certainly make it right!!!
The guys were great. But they broke both of my lampshades and didn’t own up to it even after I gave them a tip for lunch on me. $1000. Is hard for any of us 8 doors down!

Ron's Moving recently moved the contents of our home in Orono to MDI. The crew of 3 arrived promptly as scheduled and proceeded to carefully and efficiently load the truck. Our job was complicated by the fact that the furnishings needed to be loaded to facilitate unloading in 5 different buildings on MDI. They thoughtfully and with a positive spirit rose to this challenge. The delivery on MDI went smoothly and without any damage whatsoever. I was impressed with the pride and professional spirit shown by the crew.

We had Ron's move a piano recently, and I could not have been happier with the experience! The company told me they moved pianos all the time —and it showed!! The guys who moved it took great care not only with the piano, but also with the flooring in both locations. They were efficient without rushing and extremely communicative with each other, ensuring that each knew what the others were doing at every moment.

I am not a person who writes reviews about companies. However, the service I received from Ron's Moving & Storage was so outstanding, I thought my comments might be of help to others who were looking for an honest, professional, friendly and highly ethical business to assist with their move. I recently contacted Ron's for a small job requiring loading of a rental truck from 2 separate locations. The very reasonable price quoted was the same as the one charged.
