DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I am not the person to write reviews but i want to warn everyone- Do not use these movers!!! Initially, the rep putting together your contract is very friendly. My customer representative was named Jordan. He was helpful and really did seem like he cared for my move. We had talked about the total price numerous times, I made sure what was on the contract was all that I was paying especially because my move was very small (15 boxes and 2 suitcases in total) Jordan made sure that was the…
I had over $6,500 in damages due to negligence on behalf of Route 66. Items were not properly blanket wrapped. They stacked boxes with glass on the bottom which crushed under the weight of other boxes. If you have expensive things, I wouldn't recommend using this company. I tried to resolve this issue with customer service. The owner refused to speak with me. The company only insures 60 cents per pound so they offered to pay $522 for the damages.
Awful experience for a interstate move. Changed the rate thousands above advertised and initial rate given and held our items hostage. They broke and/or damaged a majority of our items. Do not use!!
Do not use this company. We went off the positive reviews and had a service rep who seemed incredibly helpful. Process started out great with constant communication. We were quoted $2500 and were notified there might be a slight price increase depending on how much we ended up taking (we had furniture we weren’t sure If we would keep). Days before the move we could no longer get in touch with our rep and had multiple calls from dispatch providing us with an incorrect move date that took multiple calls to correct.
They literally totaled my 2008 pristine conditioned Yamaha R1 Raven that I had just bought on a move from San Diego to San Francisco. That would not have been so bad if they had replaced my bike!!!!!! But get this. They only offered me $429.00 for a bike that I paid $6,000 for plus dumped another $2,000 in after market add on's. I could have moved the bike myself and been better off!!!!!!!!
i was quoted $1660 for the move of furniture. The shipping co. who actually ships (Route 66 do not ship themselves) came to collect and revised the estimate by Rte 66 to $2,318 ! i had given photos and details of all items to be shipped so this is a 'bait and switch' operation. Imo dont use them.

William and Ron were amazing movers! I ordered these guys to move my condo in Newport Beach to the Bay Area and let me say I did a lot of research about moving companies, and I found this company one of the most recognized and trustworthy companies in California, especially for long distance move. These guys came me in on time and were very polite! Wrapped everything very diligently and took their time to make sure everything gets safe and sound!
Highly recommend Route 66! I've used other moving companies before, but needed someone longer distance for my move across the state. My Account Manager, Johnny, was super responsive and helpful leading up to the move, and all of the movers were fantastic. They were in/out in about 2 hours on both sides, including disassembly/assembly time and wrapping of furniture and other items. Nothing was damaged and that alone is worth 5 stars!!
Amazing movers! Super punctual, incredibly fast and extremely professional. I highly recommend them. I moved from La to San Diego and was dreading my move. But right from the start I had the impression that Route 66 movers were the right choice for me – my first conversation with Alex from the LA office was clear and to the point and I got a detailed estimate of what costs I would have and how much time they would estimate. On my moving day the movers were super punctual – scheduled for 9am they arrived at 8.54am.
Sergii, Sergii, and Vadik were a great team of movers. They arrived promptly, worked efficiently, and were very pleasant to interact with. They provided the full packing service and as far as I can tell they were diligent with wrapping everything to ensure safe passage. My items are going into storage for 6 weeks so we'll see how the unloading on the other end goes but I'm definitely satisfied with the service today.
