I would give less than a 1 if it was possible. The actual movers did ok......some damage but that's expected. When the guys were done they had us sign papers and said someone would call us later to discuss final bill. Well, they didn't. For good reason, their "quote" was not even close. It was over 25% higher than the "quote".....the supposed reason we were given was it took 2 hours longer on drive due to road construction.....which is ridiculous for 2 reasons.
Complete lack of communication for more than six weeks. Ruth movers were to move my belongings back (from their storage facility to my home) on March 27. Last contact they had with me was on March 26, 2020 to confirm my move and confirmed they were an essential business. Did not show up with my stuff and have not responded to my million emails, phone calls, and social media requests. Completely unprofessional and would never recommend.
From what I was told on prices and how things were charged wasn’t what the guys charged me. When the two guys got to my house they spent almost an hour training the new guy on how to use the straps and how to lift the items. They dropped my dresser on the ground or side and I think they broke it because how it doesn’t sit correctly. When one of the guys got tired and needed a break he would just boss the newer guy around and sit and wait for him.... but he could have been doing other stuff while waiting.

So somewhat of a long story. Ruth Mover's helped my family move some things from my parents home to my home about a 30 mile trip. Quick easy phone call to get an estimate. They thought it would take about 2 hours and that we would get an email with an invoice. Easy. They were prompt on picking the items up and the two movers were great guys, very professional and were clearly concerned with making sure that the items were moved in such a way as to not damage anything. Sounds like a great experience thus far.
Terrible experience - I hired them despite being more expensive than a competitor because they said they would be there first thing in the morning. They arrived six hours late and then accepted no responsibility or accountability for botching the move. Once they get your money they don't care about customer service or making things right. Calls went unreturned. There are lots of options for movers -- hire someone else.
Scheduled for the afternoon of Friday but they were delayed due to morning move. We agreed to change our schedule to Satirday morning but no one called or showed. We left multiple messages without a response and are still waiting after 5 hours.
Scheduledto have my Piano now at their facility for 2 years moved to South Dakota. All the information was provided for Contacts for day of pickup. No contact was made by staff to shipper and pickup was not made. No one was at Facility when …
Came out and physically looked at everything that needed to be packed/moved. Gave an estimate. Movers showed up an hour late, and were 2 hours late getting everything moved out of the house! They said they would call the next day and …

We had a very heavy gun safe we needed moved from the basement into our moving truck. The movers showed up and took care of the job with no issues at all. We had no damage and the entire experience was pleasant and professional. I highly recommend Ruth Movers !! Thank you for the great job!
Quickly and safely moved our piano out of our home to protect it during our remodel. Stored it for 10 months and moved it back in quickly and professionally, set it up. Piano came back in the same condition it left in. Thank you for taking good care of it!
