Absolute nightmare experience. Avoid the Los Angeles branch at all costs! I was originally quoted $5,630 to ship two cars in a single container from Arizona to Germany, starting December 19th. The plan was to route them through Houston, Texas. Instead, without my permission, Schumacher shipped them to Los Angeles. When I demanded answers, they claimed a salvage title meant the car couldn't ship from Texas—a claim I highly doubt. This unauthorized rerouting caused massive delays and endless hidden fees.

I would leave 2.5 stars but it wont let me. I used Schumacher because one friend succesfully used them about 2 years ago and went with it despite some bad reviews I saw online. I shipped my items from Los Angeles to London in a partial container. I was quoted 10-12 weeks maximum. The price was reasonable so I wont complaint here. The staff was super helpful until my items were picked up. Sending an email checking on the status of my items was like asking someone to do me a favor.

The absolute biggest scammers. My husband and I used Schumacher to move from Miami to Germany, and it was by far the worst decision we made during our relocation. At first, Naomi was friendly and seemed upfront about costs and logistics. But the moment we signed the contract, everything changed. Communication became vague, key decisions were made without our input, and every time we asked for clarity, whether on final square footage, marine insurance, or extra charges, we were brushed off with generic responses…

WARNING .. SCAM COMPANY! These people are absolute scammers. They charged us $24,000 for a 40ft container and promised everything would fit. We specifically told them NOT to take extra items like our sofas , couches, and many useless big items but they insisted, saying, “It’s a big container, everything will fit.” After they took all our belongings, they suddenly claimed we now needed to pay $48,000 for two containers instead of one.

Absolutely the worst shipping experience I’ve ever had. My awful experience began in the U.S. when I accepted a job offer in the UAE and needed to ship my belongings. Initially, Sean (the manager) was very responsive—right up until I made a payment. About a week or two after my items were picked up, I asked for an invoice so I could submit it to my company for reimbursement. It took multiple follow-ups and about a week to even get a reply.

They even not deserve this one star, I had a very bad experience with this agent. They gave me a quote for a 20ft container and took all my belongings without informing me that the container might not be enough. I asked their team if everything was okay, and they told me “yes, it’s fine”. after they left took all my stuff, they emailed me that the container didn’t fit all my stuff and that some items were left behind.
