In their own words
This company is a rip off. I used them twice, the second time because they had my things in storage and had to use them to get it out and delivered. The two moves were weeks apart as our closing on a new build was delayed. The final bill for the first move to storage was a lot higher than the quote so I called the owner and they acknowledged that they overcharged me for the hourly rate ($195 vs $180) and gave me $172 credit. They also offered a 10% discount on the move scheduled for two weeks later.
I am sorry you feel we are a rip-off. As you can see from the other reviews, a lot of customers are happy with our pricing and services. Let's get our side of things, shall we? First, you called us back in May for a quote; we went over the inventory via phone and even adjusted it per another phone…
The cute little pictures on google of furbiture in its place and professionally dressed movers are innacurate. From the first phone call, when i was told "we're going to have to start at six am" to the final message of "i have no further comment to you", it hasnt been smooth or professional. We scheduled a five pm start time. Being called and informed that the movers would be late was the only correct and professional adpect of the entire process.
You are so gun ho on such bad service, but yet you tip the guys for a job well done. Of course they were not dressed "professional" as you call it, they have been working since 8:00AM in the morning sweating and picking up furniture all day long.
My husband called multiple times to schedule movers to help unload a POD we had delivered. He left two voicemails for these people and they couldn't be bothered to call us back. Super unprofessional. Will never recommend this place to anyone.
Very interesting indeed since I am the one who checks voicemails throughout the day and have not received not one from your husband about unloading a PODs container. We are in the moving business to make money and to not check voicemails and not call back, we lose money.
Movers were great and hard workers but unfortunately they didn't know how to pack a truck. They stacked heavy boxes on top of our very fragile ones and damaged some of our furniture. Because of the "load only contract" we signed they are not willing to compensate in any way. The movers who we've used 3 times in the past unloaded us in Wisconsin and couldn't believe how this truck was packed. The American way at its finest in this day and age. So very sad. F.Y.I.
You know what’s sad is that you didn’t properly mark the boxes fragile. So if they have any descent amount of weight they go to the bottom and not the top, which would be the correct way of loading boxes.
A moving truck is blocking the entrance to my apartment building, making it difficult to enter or leave. I asked the workers to move it slightly to the right to create more space for us to pass, but they completely ignored me and walked away as if I hadn't said anything. I can't comment on the quality of their moving services, but based on the workers' unacceptable attitude, I would never consider using this company for moving.

Very upset . Missing A box of sentimental things to me. China cabinet they put a nail in the side to hide the damage . Lots of Dings out of my furniture :( Called owner to Explain everything to him and he was not very nice . I have moved numerous times and I’ve never had this happen to me. I don’t mind spending the money to have a good job done but, this was the most expensive move and the worst for me.
Hello as we value your input we are sorry to hear your move wasn’t as expected. You called us a month later claiming all was damaged and missing items. You were told where those items were multiple times.
My 51 inch TV was damaged in transit. The “owner” refuses to take responsibility because they did not drive the truck. He also provided “photographic proof” they did not do it. However the “photo proof doesn’t show my TV without damage. I also watched one of the loafers mishandle my boxes of fragile kitchen wear. They did not show genuine concern for ANY of my belongings. 10/10 do not recommend.
We didn't show general concern for your belongings? We do on every move. The TV was wrapped in a blanket you provided and place between two mattresses for the protection of the TV. Mind you, we only loaded the truck for you, you drove it and you unloaded the truck.
I am still trying to call them two weeks later to no avail. She always says she has a bad connection. Her quote was completely off. We are not happy with the overcharging and packing of our storage unit. I can never recommend this company. Ever.
Overcharging? We qouted you 4 to 6 hours and even offered you a binding (flat rate) price and you turned it down. We worked from 10am to 4pm which is 6 hrs which is within our estimation. As far as you trying to reach us?

Highly recommend! They are very nice and great at communicating throughout the process, from the time of booking leading up to arrival. I appreciated the confirmation the day prior as well as a text and call when they were on their way. They are quick, but careful with your belongings and professional. Impressive driving skills as they had to maneuver a large truck in a tiny storage facility. Reasonable prices too. I paid half of the estimate because they bill actual time and were able to get done sooner.

Skye Moving is a life saver. While trying to relocate my mother to a place closer to family I was looking for affordable movers. I came across Skye Moving when I needed a moving to place her belongings in storage while looking for a house. They were very cost effective and able to easily and affordably move her belongings her stuff to the storage unit. I was so impressed with their care and professionalism I hired them again to move her from storage into her new house.

When you move across the country, it SUCKS. We didn't have a whole lot of planning into this. We just kind of picked up and left Colorado Monday night. Packed a 26 foot uhaul, towed my car and the girlfriend followed behind. Yesterday I decided to, at least, try to find movers to help with the big stuff. I found Skye Moving. I told the guy on the phone (cant remember his name =( ) I understood it was short notice, but he was able to accommodate me and my family with less that 24 hours notice.
