Soda City Movers

I chose this company because the 4.9 star reviews on google; however, after a horrible moving experience I learned they have such good reviews because for any compensation for damages, they require individuals to sign what's essentially a NDA. It states that I must remove any online reviews in order to receive my compensation.

I was really looking forward to having a good experience with this company since I saw they were almost 5 stars. However, after getting off the phone with the MANAGER being very rude to us and ranting at me not wanting to listen to our feedback, I’m leaving our review. There was a misunderstanding that the movers would arrive at 8am and be there until 10am (we had a crew set up at our other house to help unload— well we just learned that their arrival time is 8-10a even though I discussed our plan with the lady on…

The people who work at Soda City are very nice people. Their moving ability for my large move was questionable or poor at best. I’ve moved my 3400 sq/ft amount of home goods like 7 times over the last 20 years and this by far was the worst and most organized move I’ve ever experienced. They brought 3 trucks and 6 movers to move and pack my home the packing went very well but the move into my new home was disorganized and horrible.

My experience with Soda City Movers was horrible. When I called for a quote I was told there is a flat rate travel fee and they lead you to believe it covers the cost during travel from house to house. In actuality you have to pay for each minute they are at your home and each minute your belongings are in their truck. The company rounds up in 15 minute increments for charges. When the movers are finished they call their manager to inform him.

Worst mistake i called Soda city movers .Ask them if they could wrap and load my furniture for a move . Them gentleman suggested also using cardboard under the blanket. Each blanket would be a charge of 17 dollars. Great I said.i will make sure I have plenty cardboard to use.So I told him what furniture I had and he assue me there be plenty blanket brought. Nothing to worry about. So when the two movers arrived. I took them around to each room showed them the items that needed cardboard and blanket wrapped.

Hired SOda City Movers for my move scheduled on 11/9. The man I spoke to on the phone could not have been more helpful and thorough with that initial consult. Movers came out the day of the move and very efficiently wrapped an packed almost everything in the house. When actual moving day came things changed greatly.

Response to Eric Wittenberg: I think you better reconsider using a word like VERBAL ASSAULT especially when referring to some one who paid you more than FIVE THOUSAND dollars for a job you failed to do adequately. We have heard nothing but excuses both verbally as well as in your response. That is very nice of you for AGREEING to have the items you broke repaired. Original post: We spent nearly $5500 using Soda City Movers twice this summer moving out of a house into storage and then back into another house.

They came on time. They got everything done rapidly. My mom was into a storage. It was a five bedroom house I was the only one around and running from room to room you can only do so many places at once. I told them not to take apart a table because it would break. I could not be with them while they unloaded at the storage facility as I was doing a closing on the house. So I let them unload into the storage facility and I did not return to the storage facility until the end of July where I found broken items.
