Unreliable. No call, no show for an appointment we had scheduled for an estimate. Followed up twice via email and no response.
Good morning, you are not on our schedule until 8/18 at 5pm for an estimate, we believe there has been some miscommunication, or an error with scheduling.
This moving company was referred to me by someone who had had a great experience with their services, so I was surprised when JD came to my house to do an estimate, took photos, promised an estimate by the following day and then disappeared. I followed up twice informing that I never received his estimate if it was sent and have not received a response to date (more than 2 weeks later). Kind of creepy when someone enters your home, takes pictures of all of your stuff and you never heard from them again.

Absolutely stellar experience with Stern Moving! I had a 1,000lb safe that needed to be moved, which is a job most movers wouldn’t even touch. From the very first call, their team was professional, responsive, and clearly experienced with heavy, high-risk items. On moving day, they arrived on time with the right equipment, a clear plan, and within 30 minutes they had the safe out of the house. What really impressed me was the care they took to protecting my floors, walls, and doorways like it was their own home.

BEST MOVING COMPANY EVER!!!! I just completed a long distance move with Stern Moving and must say they exceeded all my expectations. Jerry and his crew were right on time on both ends of the move, treated my stuff with great care and arranged to have my things stored for a couple days until I could get to my new home. The crew was positive and upbeat and after traveling 500 miles, not one thing was damaged or broken; not one thing!!

Stern Moving recently moved us from Manchester, PA to Chapin, SC. From packing our homes contents to moving our possessions to our new home the experience was incredibly positive! The entire Stern team, and owner JD Stern were consummate professionals. They treated our possessions as if they were theirs. They wrapped every piece of furniture in moving pads and shrink wrap. They were extremely careful and every piece packed arrived at our new home in perfect condition.
This review is long overdue. Stern Moving responded quickly when I reached out to them to help my parents with a safe that came with the house when they bought it. It was entirely too big and heavy to have just anyone move it. They were quick to set up a date and time to remove the safe. The price was more than fair and they were very professional. I highly recommend using Stern Moving and will use them in the future for sure!
