In their own words
Terrible experience. Was consistently given unclear and misleading information in order to close the sale and then was ignored after I reached out numerous times for help. I asked for my items shipped and was not told they would require repacking/additional fees. I then was forced to pay a $250 fee for them to move my items from duffle bags to boxes to prevent damage because they didn’t want to ship my duffles. Well my things just arrived in the same duffles I was told were unshippable and nothing was repacked.
We used Storage Scholars for my daughter at Tufts and had a terrible experience. The movers arrived hours earlier than scheduled, rushed her packing, spoke only to each other in Spanish, and never communicated directly in English. She panicked, forgot two large items, and had to scramble to pack an 11th box when they returned. They then charged us $64 for that extra box — even though the chaos was caused by their early arrival.
Nightmare experience. Do not recommend. My daughter packed, labeled and uploaded photos of her things before she moved out of her dorm. Now it’s move-in week, and she received an email informing us they don’t know where her things are. Yikes. We went into panic mode for 2 days. On the phone for HOURS being told it was a “glitch” in the system and that “half her stuff was on a truck and half was not”. Then “half had been delivered to her sorority house and half had not”. On the truck, off the truck.
I would not use this company for university of Miami. Horrible service - no communication. Once they have your boxes and payment, It was a daily guess as to what would happen. They claim to provide time of drop off 72 hours prior and it was never was provided.

I would give zero stars if I could. I don't usually write reviews, but I want to save anyone from the absolute headache I got from this company. I used this company because my university has a partnership with them and so I thought it would be the sensible option. Pickups occurred after I had moved out because of the partnership and I received an email that my stuff had been picked up in May. I took them at their word. I scheduled my drop off in my new living space for in person in august.
Hi Justin, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that we didn’t meet your expectations. We have tried reaching out to discuss your experience with us, as we would like to learn more about your experience and understand how we can do better.
Disappointed and Misled – Would Not Recommend When I received the letter from Storage Scholars last spring, it seemed like a convenient solution for storing and delivering my daughter’s college belongings. The pickup process went smoothly, which gave me confidence in the service. However, I was extremely disappointed to learn that Storage Scholars does not offer delivery during move-in weekend at UT Knoxville. This crucial detail was not made clear when signing up.
I have never been more infuriated and frustrated at a company before. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Here's why: 1) LACK OF CLEAR COMMUNICATION: On move-in day, I received an email that my boxes would arrive early in the morning, forcing me to push my international flight to accomodate this change. Later, I received another email that my boxes would arrive in the early afternoon. Nearly 12 HOURS LATER, my boxes arrived -- from the estimated arrival time of 9 am to the actual arrival time of 9 pm.

UPDATE: The delivery guys just put the boxes on the sidewalk (50meters away) and left, despite my son telling them that the CS agent promised they will deliver to the room if they were given access. He is now figuring out how to get the boxes to the dorm without any carts available as it’s Friday late evening. Extremely poor service and blatantly wrong promises by the agent and the owner (per the response below to my original review).
HI Selvam, we apologize for the lack of carts. If it was an issue during pickups our logistics team should have that fixed for drop-offs. For delivery, we will move the items directly to the room as long as someone is there to accompany us!

In their own words
Absolutely the best decision for my end-of-semester move. Not only were they quick and efficient, but the care they took with my belongings was exceptional. From the moment I booked, I knew I was in good hands. The team communicated clearly, arrived on time, and worked swiftly without compromising on care. It was such a relief to have this part of my student life handled so professionally.
Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such a positive experience with us. Your support means the world to our team!

Storage Scholars made moving my items from Arizona to Michigan smooth and easy. They sent me the boxes and supplies to pack my stuff, came right to my apartment to ship it, and everything arrived to Michigan safely. This was all done at a reasonable price as well.
That’s a big move, glad we could help!!
2025: We used Storage Scholars again this year for move out in the spring and move in for fall. Everything went perfectly, as it did last year. Delivery guys were super nice, professional and strong! Communication was clear and all items arrived in great condition. So glad we found this company. 2024: We used Storage Scholars for move out last semester and move in this semester. I am thoroughly impressed with their operation.
We look forward to helping you the next 4 years, Lee Anne. Thank you for the nice review!
