T&J MOVERS

Very very very unprofessional. The owner passed my complaints to his staff over exaggerated what I said & his staff member who moved me sent me a unprofessional lengthy text message. It's all good till something get broken or missing.

They left me and my family stranded without movers! I found this business as I searched for Black Owned movers to support. I read the great reviews and decided to inquire. I called and got an immediate response. I got a quote from Mr. William Proctor and scheduled my move for one week later. The night before the move i received a confirmation text from Mr. Proctor. We were all set for 2p the next day. At 9a I received a text saying he could come early.

This was the worst moving crew ever. The crew was slow and unorganized. From the beginning, they were looking for tools to take apart my beds, wasting time. TJ had informed me that if they took down the beds they would put them back up. The way the crew was rushing to drop my stuff off I had to text TJ and ask him if the crew was aware they needed to assemble the beds. Not to mention I asked the crew and they said they weren't sure. The crew handled my items with NO care!

My initial conversation with T&J movers was great. Picked on up the first ring, answered my questions quickly and gave me a fair quote for my move date which was over a month away. I confirmed the booking the week of the move and the owner confirmed with me right away. The morning of my move, the owner texted and stated that their equipment had been stolen and he could send a crew but they wouldn't have equipment. I said that was fine - I had my own dolly, etc.

I struggle with giving negative reviews, however, after the initial truck unload help I received from TJ, the second move from storage to the new house did not go so well. The guys he sent (he did not handle the move the second time) were unprofessional, did not wear masks, and broke or damaged my expensive refurbished furniture. They took pictures of my things without asking.

Was told I could set my time anytime after 3 PM on a Saturday so I said 3:30 Got a text saying that they were running late, got another mesg and said they were still behind and it would be around five. 10 minutes before 5 they said they're still running late and hopefully they could get to me before 7. Explained to them that I needed to be moved by a certain time and my landlord had been waiting.

Bad moving experiece. I knew the move would be difficult so pictures were sent ahead of time. The movers that arrived were never informed there would be a winding staircase. They spent a lot of time trying to decide how to move things then ended up dropping my desk to the ground. They managed to get the mattress in the room and then decided they were not comfortable moving the bed frames. I agreed I needed to find more skilled movers. There are great reviews so use at your own risk.

We scheduled with T&J Movers almost two weeks in advanced for a move. We received a Text at 0920 saying that he had truck issues and he will be there at 3pm instead. When asked if we could get a discount being that my husband has school and I have work and it interferes with our schedule,he said he would look into it at 0920. It’s been almost two hours and no response. When I called no answer and no confirmation of a 3pm arrival. This is highly inconsiderate and unreliable and would not recommend to anyone.
