The Move Pros

Using The Moving Pros was a massive mistake. They lack basic competence, operational integrity, and professional accountability. The most unprofessional part of the experience was that Tom, the person in charge, physically abandoned our move halfway through the day to leave for another job. He left behind a crew that spent more time hanging around than working—including one worker who openly admitted he had a medical condition preventing him from lifting and just sat there.

I would not recommend Texas Move Pros based on my experience on July 1, 2026. I scheduled a four-man crew for my move and made it very clear that we had to be completely out of our home by a specific deadline because the buyers were taking possession the next morning. The crew arrived several hours later than originally expected on the first day, leaving much of the move unfinished and creating unnecessary stress. On the second day, three movers and the owner, Thomas, arrived around 6:00 a.m.

On the phone Tom seemed rather trustworthy so we paid the extra money to hire what we thought was a professional moving company. Tom recommended a 4 man crew for one day to get our move done. We were only moving to a new home 30 mins away, should be easy. We paid over 200/hr as one experienced guy tried to teach 3 others how to do the job.

Absolutely horrendous move using this company and I deeply regret using them. As a single mother of children with disabilities and health issues myself, I work very hard for the things I have. These movers were so careless with my things. - I took the time to label each box with stickers as far as to which room they need to go into and even the fragile stickers. All in all, they dumped stuff all over my apartment. In random rooms. All over my kids room and my room and in the apartment.

Do not engage with them. Their cost estimate was ridiculously high. And it took them over a week to send that after a five minute very hasty tour of my house. In comparison to the other companies I engaged with after I sensed some red flags with this one, they were slow and unprofessional and solicited for weeks after I already canceled my reservation with them. They refused to return a security deposit that was not stated as non-refundable.

If anything, PLEASE save yourselves the frustration and do not hire this company. (Texas Move Pros) They are the worst movers. 4 men took 6 hours to move our stuff. Only 2 bedroom apartment! They work slow and take many breaks to kill the 3 hour minimum hours. They broke items and didn't tell us. Made a hole in our new house. Tom the one who gets all the calls is a very dishonest man. Stay away. If you can tell, all the posts they have to get 5 stars are NOT verified customers.

Damaged our drywall and hardwood floors - extensively. We had a walkthrough the next day and Tom promised to have someone come and fix everything, then ghosted us. We've moved 10 times over the years (work-related) and this was a nightmare experience. They showed up in a small Uhaul truck with two guys for a four bedroom move. Paid hourly but worked with zero urgency. There are so many other great options out there, save yourself from a similar experience as us. EDIT: Thanks for the reply, Tom.

Take my advice and never use the MovePros. Tom accepts zero accountability and as soon as he gets your money he won’t talk to you. He showed up with a 28’ trailer and I ended up having to get a U-Haul 20’ to get all my stuff in. He missed the size of my move by 100%. Basically said oh well. Who does that? NEVER USE or you will be sorry! If there was a zero star rating I would have given that.
