* * * * * BEWARE!!!! * * * * * As the pictures and video attached to this review CLEARLY SHOW (Turn audio on for video) these guys are careless as can be!!! The second, shorter, video shows the moment one of the broken limbs fell from the tree, thankfully when no cars or people were nearby. If you value your health and would prefer precautionary measures this company is not a great choice for moving. Upon arrival they were not wearing masks. We kindly asked and offered masks and they refused to wear them. My 93 year old is at high risk of dying from COVID, yet they didn’t care. Their reply was “so you will be cancelling?”. The answer was yes. We called the moving company office and they told us they don’t wear masks.

Thompson required a home visit to provide an estimate. We booked nine days ahead of time, the soonest they had available, but no one showed to do the estimate. Called in and hear, seemingly from their top guy, "someone here dropped the ball." No kidding. The soonest they can come out next for an estimate is two days later, and that's after pushing a bit. Should we take off again and be home to find out whether they'll show this time? And will they show up as promised on move day?

I've used them for 3 moves across the Chicagoland area over the last 20 years and had a wonderful experience every time. The most recent one was yesterday, and the crew of Adam, Jaden, Cody, and John L went above and beyond. They communicated really well on the front end to make absolutely certain they loaded everything I wanted on the truck (since some furniture was staying behind).

All of the movers were great-John M., David, Cole, Eddie,James, and Jaden. They were very professional and pleasant. The whole move was quick and efficient yet they took the time to find out where each item had to go. Also there were some last minute changes to my closing date and the company was very accommodating and the price for everything was very reasonable. I highly recommend this company!

Thank you to Thompson Moving & Storage for making what was a bittersweet day such a positive experience! We can't brag enough about this move! Project Manager Adam and his team: Jayden, JP, James, Eddie, Alan, Anthony, Jim, Joey, John, L, Michael, Alex, and Alexavier, arrived on time and handled each classroom with great care, ensuring that every item was delivered to the correct location. Preparing for this move was an overwhelming task, but they made the loading and delivery process feel seamless.
Our move out crew was fantastic. Adam, Jaden, Ryan, Cole, John, James and Cody really took the stress out of a traditionally stressful event (Adam even bringing the humor). Also appreciate the scheduling staff / management for their understanding and flexibility on our temporary move into storage - made quite a difference.
