In their own words
I hired Bill to move a piano for me on 4/22 and it was such a terrible experience, it has taken me almost 3 weeks to calm down enough to write a review. He sure lives up to his name because he billed the hell out of me. I spoke to Bill ad nauseam regarding the layout of the stairs in my house and the fact that we have a 90° turn in our stairs. When he arrived at my house with the piano, I was standing around the corner and could hear him talking to his helper saying “they never told me about this”.
They pulled a bait and switch on us. I gave them the dimensions of our safe. He told me, its average sized. I was told $200 flat fee and $10 per step. We had 9 steps. After they came and delivered the safe to my dad's house. Stright shot into his garage. He was charged $255 over. Claiming there were several tight turns. Coming out of our house, into our garage was a bit tricky. I could see a little more money for that. But, $255. Total charge was $545. He didn't mention one word for the extra charges he claimed.
Thresher piano was scheduled to move a piano after talking with the owner of the company on the phone. They no showed my appointment with no communication on their end or answering my phone calls. I rescheduled in good faith and I’m …
Two days ago I called and scheduled them for 5:30pm today. My grandma is gifting us her piano and uhaul is arriving at that time with the piano in it. They were very nice on the phone. I had explained the situation to Thresher and they said 5:30 works, great! This morning, Thresher showed up at my door at 9am, I wasn't home but saw the Ring footage.
If you plan on using Thresher Piano Movers - probably best if you have 911 on speed dial considering Bill will threaten you after you point out that he wasn't honest about his quotes! Bill will move your piano, and then charge you $400-500 more than your quoted price - which makes me think he low balls you just to get your business then screws you over at the end. And on top of that? He'll damage your piano! Do not use Thresher Piano Movers!!
It got ugly. The guy threatened to take internal parts if I didn't pay up that day. I never said we weren't going to pay ...there was just a misunderstanding in price and we expressed our concerns about the fairness of price. We weren't refusing, but he jumped straight to threats. It all just felt so...icky.
I’m sorry for your inconvenience. For this reason we are quite thorough in giving our price quotes. Our sales team asks several questions to make sure miscommunication issues don’t arise to put our company in these situations. Being transparent about our pricing is what we pride ourselves on.
They wasted my time. Called on a Thursday, and followed up over the next four days with phone calls and voicemails to get a piano moved. They never followed up. Never answered. I went with Summit and they were great. Don’t let these people waste your time like they did mine.
These guys are all over the road. Swerving left and right. I’m teaching my son how to drive and they are all over I-15. Seems like they are texting and driving! Not cool!

In their own words
Thresher Piano Movers were awesome! I needed a piano moved last minute and they were able to come the next day. Jared and Skyler were very professional and were super careful and efficient moving our piano from the basement. I would highly recommended using them!
I was so happy with pricing, communication, and experience overall! I called last weekend for a move from midway to Provo. They were very kind to explain the process of how pricing works and helped me figure out a plan! Got everything delivered today and everything went so smooth! The men delivering were very kind. I made the experience even better. I highly recommend.
I had a great experience with Skyler and Evan. They were very friendly, on time, professional, and moved two of our pianos in one day. We had two heavy pianos, but they had all the right equipment to move it easily. They demonstrated great expertise, and it was obvious they knew what they were doing. I would definitely use them again.
Absolutely amazing company, the movers were so professional and creative with our difficult move for our vending machine. I would highly recommend them for any sort of heavy duty moving. Thank you guys so much for your help
