Top Tier Van Lines || Moving Company

We had an out of state move that could not have gone more poorly than if we did it ourselves. Carlos promised a stress free move. He said you hire us and we take all the stress. Carlos, you over promised and way under delivered. They ran a little late which I can overlook. But showed up with a truck that was not big enough for our move. They kept saying they were sending another truck. The 2nd truck didn't show up till 2 hours after the first truck was filled.

In May, I scheduled a move of furniture from a storage location in Virginia to two addresses within a 50-mile radius of Philadelphia, PA. I did my homework and price-compared with other movers. Top Tier offered a “pre-season discount” and a “guaranteed price.” They also had good reviews, so I went with them. On the phone, the relocation specialist assured me his movers would pick up the furniture and deliver it to both addresses on the date I requested.

Just a horrible experience all the way around. Was looking for a company that could accommodate my blind and disabled husband. The day they showed up to move us they were 2 1/2 hours late from the 2 hour window I was given. Once, most of our stuff was loaded on the truck, I was told my husband medical bed was considered a bulky item( it was on the original quote) but if I paid them $150 CASH, they wouldn't have to add it to the bill! Very sketchy company. They don't even have their own fleet of moving trucks.

Top Tier Van Lines, where should we begin? My family scheduled a move July 2nd (Virginia), a good 3-4 weeks prior to the actual move. We thought it was ample time for coordination to happen on their end. July 2nd, evening comes around and we dial them as no one showed. They give us a call back the following day stating they have a truck headed our way (he doesn't show July 3rd). July 4th, we dial them and they finally guarantee a truck is coming!

We hired Top Tier to move us from Ohio to West Virginia. Oct. 3 2024. It has been 2 months and I still haven't resolved my issue with them. In the process of moving I was missing 3 rugs and also they cracked my TV. I lost my security deposit due to the truck driver messing up the yard where we were moving from. I have contacted top tier numerous times and still nothing is being done . Save your money and hire another moving company. They are saying they are the best moving company....what a joke.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. If they contact you RUN. I had the worst experience in my life with this company. Jared started my process. He didn’t give vital information to me that ended up costing me an extra 857 dollars. Jared is either incompetent, poorly trained or unethical. The staff can use a course in customer service that should include communication and follow up with a customer. They answer the phone as if you are calling their personal phone.

The worst moving experience of my life! Salesman, Joe, quoted me $4,000 and said it included wrapping the large TV, wrapping mirrors and furniture, moving 2 kayaks, and covered a 2800 sq foot house. He never came to look at the job. Last minute, after no contact for several weeks, I was told he "left" the company. Next guy, Chris, makes final arrangements, no change in quote even though I said I didn't think everything would fit on one truck. Moving day, guys arrived 2 1/2 hours late.

It brings me no joy to write this review. But I was disappointed in the fact that what was included in my agreement was furniture that they did disassemble, that they would reassemble upon arrival and delivery. The team that brought my furniture, was extremely nice and professional, however brought no tools and was not aware that they had to reassemble the furniture that the company disassembled.
