Toronto Moving Company - AMJ

Couldn’t be more disappointed. We used AMJ to move from Ontario to British Columbia. We worked closely with Daniel to ensure what we needed and that they could accommodate all of our stuff. Days were spent taking pictures, being on FaceTime, logging all of our belongings. At this point, we are feeling taken care of and confident that they know what they are doing.

⭐ 1 Star Extremely unprofessional experience with AMJ Campbell. I had three large deliveries from AMJ Campbell through Rove Concepts while furnishing my new office, and the service was consistently unacceptable. The drivers were contracted to deliver and assemble multiple items. On the first delivery, they assembled a couple of pieces, then informed me they needed to take a lunch break and would return later — while the truck was still full of my furniture.

I’ve had repeated negative experiences with AMJ Home Delivery due to poor communication and unreliable scheduling. Deliveries are scheduled, confirmations are provided, and then those same confirmations are later “lost” or not recognized by the company. Drivers have given incorrect information at the time of delivery, which was later declined or denied by AMJ, resulting in wasted time and financial cost to me. Tracking information has also been inaccurate, showing delivery schedules that did not match reality.

I ordered furniture from Pottery Barn which forced me to use AMJ to get a delivery, which I believe I had to pay $250 for. I received my time window for delivery and on the day of it had changed to be several hours later than originally told. I had to call in to get an update on this as I had to be out of my house at a specific time as well as book my condo elevator. When l called, I was told they will try to accommodate an earlier time. I was told I would get a call back to confirm. I never got a call back.

I have mixed feelings with my experience! Started off so well but ended up with damaged boxes and several incorrect charges. Two months later I'm still waiting for my refund to process... PROS: -Impressive communication at the beginning (Paul, our coordinator was very responsive and patient. He was always there to answer my questions right until moving day.) - Detailed estimate survey (You submit videos of each room with notes to get the most accurate quote.

Unreliable - be prepared for major inconvenience. My experience with AMJ as a delivery service was unfortunately one of the most inconvenient and unaccountable I’ve ever experienced. They were contracted by Article (the furniture company) to deliver my order, originally scheduled for June 7. That day came and went with no delivery, no phone call, no email, nothing. I had to call them myself to find out what happened, and even then, I received no explanation other than "the delivery was not attempted".

If I could give zero I would. My advice, would be to steer clear of this company. Especially quotations from Anthony Soward, he tripled our quote weeks before the move. Complete story; We made contact first in February regarding an international relocation. We listed an estimation of items in various forms, plus some larger items. To which we received a professional response requesting some measurements of the larger items. After which we received a quote which was reasonable.

Edit August 20th They are basically refusing to pay for what they broke. I have confirmed that this can not be repaired as the whole canvas was stretch out of shape. I am on disability and supplement my tiny income by selling plants and I can’t grow them when the equipment I use was damaged by this company. They are wasting my time and playing games! Just pay for what you broke! I paid to replace the item myself and cost me $802.
