Tropic Moving

BEWARE THEY BREAK FURNITURE AND WILL NOT REPLACE OR REIMBURSE YOU FOR THE DAMAGES! I used Tropic Moving to help move all my large pieces of furniture. Two young guys showed up in what had to have been a rented Uhaul truck. There was no difference between their truck and one I would rent directly from Uhaul. They didn’t disclose additional fees I would incurs while wrapping up my mattress for instance. The WORST part was they broke the leg off my dresser.

Horrible move - never will hire this company again - this was a move for a disabled veteran. They grossly over charged me by sending a crew of three and they did nothing - I will submit the photos of the unit but it was so bad we had to repack the front just to get the piano in. The crew was nice but way overwhelmed and not prepared. I contacted the owner about the issues and he refused to refund a portion of our money that matched our invoice. 1. They broke a night table 2. Lost hardware for my bed 3.

DO NOT HIRE this company. During our move, expensive and sentimental jewelry and watch went missing. When we contacted management to report this, they brushed us off and said there was nothing they could do and said that our items should be stored properly and should have been hidden from view. No investigation, no accountability, and no compensation was taken . The items were put away inside a drawer, they were not left out in the open, even if they were left out “exposed” it is no excuse for this.

While the two men sent to move my mother's things were professional, I'm not impressed overall. A mirror on my mother's antique dresser was not screwed back in place once it was in her new home, which resulted in it falling and breaking, as well as a deep gage that was left in her solid wood television stand. I called repeatedly to ask for help or a resolution. All I was told was that they could send a form we could fill out.

I strongly DO NOT recommend Tropic Moving. The unprofessionalism from start to finish was appalling. What is even more disappointing is the lack of response by the owner, Dan and refusal to hold his movers accountable. At our sold property, two of the movers stood around chatting off and on the entire time. My husband observed them chatting in the back of the truck for over 20 minutes. This continued at our new home to the point I finally called Dan to complain.

WORST COMPANY EVER!!! The final bill was more than double what was quoted. The guys spent more time on their phones than packing. Attitude issues from team leader, including throwing garbage into boxes and open boxes of baking soda. Items not packed carefully and much was broken. But, the worst part was the stuff they STOLE FROM ME!! Including a nightstand made by my grandfather which was over 80 years old, another wood nightstand, a new microwave oven, and several expensive antique personal items.

Damaged my furniture and a few things were missing and returned a few weeks later. Movers did not secure the load so when they came to my new home everything in rear of truck was in a large pile. They dropped my nightstand down concrete steps and didn’t say anything. Upon arrival there was a tv destroyed..mirror broke off spare door for my Jeep..scuffs on expensive real wood furniture. Had 25k insurance for damages and they paid $75. What a joke! My tool box was returned 2 weeks later.

terrible company never put your services in their hands guaranteed to destroy stuff then try to hide it or fix it all janky Wouldn’t trust them to move my cat to a different room
