Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

Would not recommend for single woman for elderly woman to call for a quote. My sweet mama sister Mary Frances Cannon used these movers twice as her community well they call themselves a community. Sisters of Saint Francis the Newman community provided monies to hire movers. Actually the second time I ended up footing the bill for a lot of it, did most of the work, encouraging, pep talking, buying lunch, and of course tipping.

I’ve been using this company over the years throughout the country. I believe they’re a franchise type operation. Their service has largely been consistently good across branches and with no hidden/surprise fees. For this pack-up job, Chris, Elijah, and Mike were adequate but by no means knocked it out of the park. Criticisms included: 1) Mike wasn’t labeling boxes like I asked and when reminded about it, he didn’t go back and fix the boxes in question.

We had the worst experience in the world with this company at the Greenville SC location!! First, they come to move us and the people were putting stuff on the truck they we said we were going to take such as large bulk paper towel and toilet tissue. Second, one of the guys gets sick moving and this is in the middle of the pandemic so they send another crew. I should have just stopped them right then and there but I didn't. Third, they didn't know how to pack the truck so they were going to make two trips.

The movers were friendly, but unprofessional. Signed something that basically stated they were not liable for broken furniture. Broken bed frame. Called office and was told I'd receive a call, but no one called back. Had to approach movers because they were hanging out in truck during move. The front door was left open without communication on progress. Movers asked for tools that I did not have. Would not recommend.

so after a lot of back and forth, we are done dealing with this moving company and i can finally post an honest review. we paid for a 3 man 6 hour move. two guys and a prepubescent child arrived. the third "guy" must have been the owner's kid or something because there's no way he would have been hired to move anything. he was so frail and tiny - i wanted to help HIM when he was lifting things. to charge us a whole "man" for this child is shady business practice number 1.

I recognize experiences with moving companies may vary, however I would caution the community with Two Men and a Truck. We hired their services to pack our house and load our U-Pack semi. We are a prior military family with many many moves under our belt. We have never had our belongings treated so poorly before. Some stuff was wrapped fine, while other stuff was quite literally tossed in the truck. We had some leather furniture that wasn’t wrapped whatsoever that’s torn and punctured.

My experience with Two Men and A aTruck was horrible. The moving experience was the worst ever. The move was two-fold. After I sold my home, most of my furniture was to go to my storage unit and some was to go with me to an apartment while my new home was under construction. Most of the furniture that went to storage was damaged. 1) the side by side refrigerator has a dent in both doors. 2) the hall cabinet has one of its legs completely broken off. 3) my dining room table sets on a pedal and the screws were lost.

Several weeks before our move, I contacted Two Men and A Truck for a quote for our upcoming move. I provided the office personnel with a thorough overview of our move and needs. She was very helpful and provided me with a quote and we decided to hire them for our move based on that quote. Two days before our move, another representative contacted me to confirm. Much of the information on our file was incorrect, including addresses.
