Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

Worst ever! DO NOT USE!!! I would give them 0 stars! They are very unprofessional, damaged furniture, broke items (that they claimed were already broken) and stole items. DO NOT BUY THE EXTRA INSURANCE because they do no honor replacement as insurance is supposed to do! Men congregate inside the back of the truck hiding and not working, while the clock is ticking on the bill! Helped themselves to refrigerator and drinks without asking.

Not impressed I hired two men and a truck because they seemed to be qualified movers according to their TV commercials and their reviews. I met with the estimator to show him what had to be moved and I was given a quote which seemed to be reasonable. The move was from Jacksonville NC to York PA. I met up with the movers at the scheduled time and place due to the furniture was being held in a storage facility. There were only two guys there to load the truck.

We used Two Men and a Truck in Wilmington NC for our local move two weeks ago and I'm very disappointed and frustrated. The estimator came to our house and gave a quote of $1050. He assured us that he was very careful to not underbid a job, and expected the move would cost less than that. We had everything ready to go on the day of the move (all furniture disassembled except our piano), and the move ended up costing $1500 (50% more than the estimate!).

I don't know if my experience could have gone any worse. I have moved a few times and if I could give zero stars I would. I recently used Two Men and a Truck for a fairly local move to a brand new home I purchased. They damaged my walls, my floors, my mouldings, pretty much every piece of furniture they moved, so much so at one point one of the workers told us that, "I think you can touch that up" for the damage to our new king size wood bed frame. So my brand new house lasted a day!

They arrived an hour and a half late outside of the three hour window provided. By that time I had already moved the majority of the items, and all that was remaining were larger pieces of furniture that were still in boxes (for a ONE bedroom apartment). I moved one mile away and somehow it still took 2.5 hours. They also damaged my TV during the move but are not liable according to the contract.

I never used their services but a so-called neighbor of mine did. She was no real neighbor she was just someone that lived above me. One day she and I get into a disagreement and it was her moving day. She has Two Men and a Truck park right next to my car and into the fire lane! One of their doors swung right over the hood of my car! I called to complain. They never moved the truck and if they did it wasn't by much.

I was looking forward to using Two Men and a Truck to get an estimate for a move from North Carolina to Philadelphia. My mother had used them several years ago while in Philadelphia. So last week, while in N.C. I reached out to them, and they had my mother's information in their system. We set up an appointment for the estimate for last Tuesday, 3/28 at 10AM, but on Monday evening, they texted me to cancel the appointment.

I have used Two Men & a Truck on two previous occasions in the past few years and have had very positive results. This last move was very different. The estimate I received seemed a little high for the amount of items being moved but it was just an estimate. The movers arrived on time at 10:00 AM as scheduled. When I called to check on the status of the move at 10:45, I was told that the the movers were updating the estimate and the "paperwork" had to be redone.
