Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

I previously left a review back in April after using this moving company, but now that I am fully unpacked and settled in, I feel obligated to leave an updated review because the full extent of the damage and negligence has become clear. At this point, I have realized that THREE boxes are missing from my move, multiple pieces of furniture were damaged, and the company has done absolutely nothing to resolve the situation. My bed now has scuff marks and dents that were not there before the move.

Do not hire this company. I was passing by their location and saw two man, caucasian and black male smoking weed. Passing their "blunt" within each other and you would think the lady who looked like she is the office assistance (white older caucasian women, wearing a gra cardigan, blk shirt) would say something to them, she did not. And not to mention it smelled like cannabis.

Pick someone else - Showed up 1.5 hours late and cost me an extra $200 in a move coordinator fees from my building, they damaged my wall, baseboard and door frame taking a couch out from the upstairs which cost me $400 in repairs from the owners of the unit, They took my computer monitors, my kitchenware and some clothing. I moved 1/2 block and somehow ended up with missing items. They did find my computer monitors and returned those the next day but the kitchenware and clothing are still MIA.

I hired TMAAT to pack and move my furniture and belongings within San Diego County. They overpromised and undelivered in every way possible. I would NOT recommend them and wish that I had seen reviews of the business with the Better Business Bureau. They broke a very precious piece of ceramic art. They soiled mattresses and linens despite the fact that I paid for mattress covers and special packing materials.

DO NOT USE TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. They are currently trying to scam me (combat vet/ x ray student) out of my 2k all in one computer that I watched them pack incorrectly just wrap with Saran Wrap. Instead of simply accepting they broke my all in one computer they decide to drag it out and emailing me with false statements. Then they responded falsely again in a different way, on yelp. With the only “damage claim” supervisor with the exclusive authority to talk to, via email, and not on a recorded phone line.

I have hired Two Men and a Truck for five separate moves (01/10/2022; 12/29/2024; 02/28/2025; 05/25/2025; 12/20/2025). I trusted them. After my last move, I no longer trust them. I will not be hiring them again. My last move took three hours. They arrived at 0915 and completed the move at 12:15. After the move, I waited outside the truck for 15 minutes. When I approached the driver, he was engaged in small talk with the billing agent, Sarah A, about time-off requests for the following week.

This company’s rates were much higher then their competitors so I thought the service and safety of my furniture would be better but I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The 2 guys that came were friendly but didn’t properly wrap my furniture. I have a very expensive Light linen headboard that they did not wrap at all and they got black fingerprints all over!

I recently used Two Men and a Truck for a long-distance move from San Diego to Seattle, and it was a highly disappointing experience. The company's name suggests that they provide "two men and one truck," but unfortunately, that promise was not fulfilled during the delivery. When the truck arrived, there was only one person available to help unload. We were promised a two to three-hour unloading process, but it ended up taking a grueling 12 to 13 hours.
