Two Men and a Truck Moving

I hired this company for a move from Nevada to Oregon last week. The moving team got the job done timely and efficiently. However, one of their employees stole a wallet from me with thousands of dollars of cash in it as they were leaving my drop location. Luckily, I noticed the wallet was missing immediately, and was able to stop the movers in the parking lot before they left. After about a 15 minutes standoff and a warning to call the police, the wallet was returned with all the cash accounted for.

Do not use this company! Several pieces of our furniture were stolen. We used two men a few years ago me they were great. Fast forward to a couple of days ago, we went our storage shed where the movers were to deliver the furniture and started to move our furniture out and into our new home. The furniture was stored in a very secure facility. To our surprise, several nice pieces were missing. In May we had them move the furniture from an apartment to the storage facility.

We used this company to move us from Reno to Verdi, NV. They misquoted the amount of time and trucks they needed. Which added about 3 hours to our bill. They broke 1) our TV. 2) a bed. 3 ) Tore three holes in the couch. The “manager” Justin was notified and took MONTHS to fix what they had broken. We moved in August and just this week ( November) they finally fixed the couch. They stacked heavy large boxes on top of boxes that clearly were marked fragile. They broke pieces of China that cannot be replaced.

Moved a 1830 sq feet home 4 blocks away. The move took 9.5 hours. I had to use my own SUV + tools to assist as they were unprepared. I've used several moving companies before and never had I had to participate with moving boxes and furniture + tear down, yet still pay over $1000 after a soft reimbursement from the office team. My estimate was max cost of $1,050. I've never paid more than $850 for a move with the competitors and the other homes were double the sq feet.

I have used two men in a truck over five times now. Unfortunately one time somebody took my credit card and they tried to use it the next day because he took it to the truck luckily my bank and Amazon stopped it but using them from moving from Dayton back to Carson I will not use them again when they were done moving my stuff into my rental I gave each guy $100 tip I was happy relieved it was done and when they left I went into the spare room three large items are still wrapped in plastic.

This moving company is HORRIBLE to say the least. I wouldn’t even rate them ONE STAR ! They charged me $650 for a two hour job. And of course dragged it out as long as they could. The 3 guys that came and moved my things were absolutely horrific. One of them came without a shirt on, the other one didn’t do anything at all, and the 3rd one was smoking cigarettes every 10 minutes. They were in more breaks then they were actually moving my items.

Was moving my dad from his condo to assisted living on September 14th. The young kids who were sent to move about 7 pieces of furniture broke his dresser. They didn't wrap it, loaded it drawer side toward the middle, and secured it with a bungee cord. Big surprise, when they showed up to the new place, the dresser had crashed to the floor, breaking a handle and taking a chip out of the front. We were very patient and understanding and just asked them to repair the damage.

My wife had used Two Men & a Truck in the past so we decided to use them again for our recent move. Here’s how my experience went: Setting up the move: This was a relatively easy process. I sent pictures to the office staff to help them gauge the amount of stuff we had. They came back with 2 trucks being needed, which seemed reasonable based on the amount of stuff I had.
