Two Men and a Truck Moving

I moved from a studio to a 1 bed (about a 7 min drive), a quick and easy move, or so I thought. I didn’t even have a couch, so I expected the process to be simple and was quoted at $165 for transport plus $150 each hour and the guys said it would take no longer than 2 hours max. I made it clear upfront that I wasn’t in a position to spend a lot and asked if they could keep the move quick. They assured me it would be easy and fast.

I would give 0 if I could. I scheduled an office move months ago. They not only showed up LATE by 2 HOURS but when the office arrived, they called to reschedule because they had no crews to send us... so they have no office organization. Red Flag 1. Red Flag 2 is when the crew showed up to move 5 desks, walked around then disappeared to talk on the phone with their office for 45 minutes. They come back and say it is too late to do the move and could try to reschedule us to tomorrow.

I would NOT recommend this moving company. During our move, multiple items were damaged, including a plate, a shelf, and a dresser. We were initially told that broken items would be fixed or reimbursed, and we were charged an additional fee that was represented to us as coverage in the event of damage. However, after submitting a claim, the company is now refusing to repair or reimburse for the damaged items. In addition to the broken furniture, the movers damaged our walls during the move.

The worst experience with moving I have ever had.. Very upset with the horrible service I received. They charged me over $1400 for moving a small 1 bedroom apartment and only managed to complete half of the job on the day. They missed the deadline with the elevator booking I had at a new place, even though they confirmed a few times prior to the move that we should be ok timewise. I had to arrange another elevator in the same building, because the other one was booked by people after 12pm.

I've used Two Men and a Truck several times since 2011 in both Colorado and Nevada. Unfortunately my most recent experience with them will likely be my last. I scheduled a small move on a weekday that required me to alter my work schedule. The movers arrived an hour later than their expected arrival window. I was scheduled later that morning to meet my realtor to pick up keys to my new place but when the movers arrived, I was told they "couldn't really move anything without me there to supervise" even though they…

I am super bummed to be giving Two Men such a poor rating however my latest experience has just ruined them for me. Long story short, my move didn't even start until 5pm, I paid for a three man crew to which one of the members decided not to participate, there was no sense of urgency with the other two men, I had damaged items, and what was supposed to be a quick move from a storage unit 10miles away from the house, required a manager to come out and another crew to come help finish the job at 10:30pm.

It's unfortunate to say that we are very displeased with our recent experience with Two Men and a Truck. There was a series of events that occurred to lead to this. First, our original quote was for 6-8 hours and it took 12, 12 hours for a 2,100 sq ft house and the new one was FOUR minutes away. All we requested was large furniture, and that wasn't done either as one of the guys was barely on the job for 3 days and seemed like didn't know what to do.

Terrible experience, unfortunately. Had a last minute move out of state, so hired two men and a truck to handle it for me. Every step of the process has been absolutely terrible (value crate move). No one seems to understand what’s involved, what’s covered and not covered. Every single person has given me conflicting information. The movers who picked up my items didn’t bring a tv box even though I specifically stated I’d need one.
