Two Small Men with Big Hearts Moving Company

We had an extremely disappointing experience with this moving company. We were quoted that the move would take approximately five hours, and the crew confirmed that estimate when they arrived. Instead, the move took seven hours, resulting in unexpected additional charges. The professionalism of the crew was also disappointing. When they arrived at our new home, the driver spent about 30 minutes trying to back the truck into position while the other mover yelled profanities at him through the window.

Terrible Experience. First they base their quote off the information you give them about what you have to move. I would recommend making them come out and go through your house themselves (more on this later) so that every little item gets listed. They showed up with 6 people, we were sending some items to storage and some to our new place. Lots of standing around. We had packed some stuff our selves and some they were asked to pack. They just threw a lot of stuff in different boxes or into other existing items.

Moved from calgary to Vancouver. They guaranteed our stuff to fit on one truck. On the day of moving they couldn’t fit everything so had to bring a second truck the next day to take the rest of the stuff. Our stuff was then unloaded into storage containers (unknown to us) and then reloaded onto trucks to Vancouver so it changed hands many times. Mysteriously, two big tool bags containing expensive drills/tools never made it to Vancouver. I’ve emailed many times and called them with no response 3 weeks out.

Do not use this company. Completely useless when moving my elderly mother from one condo to another in Calgary on August 23rd. Unprofessional, careless, painfully slow, and their management did not respond AT ALL when complaints were made during the actual moving process. We had agreed in advance that they would pack her kitchen but they showed up to the condo without a clue how to do this and didn’t bring ANY packing materials for crockery etc, just some cardboard boxes?

We had a contract with Two Burley Men coordinated with Derek! We have used them for long haul move with storage, so loading and unloading 4 times and not one thing was damaged, not even a scratch on anything. Why, because EVERYTHING was blanketed and shrink wrapped and loaded properly! However, moving day came and we were greeted by Two small men with big hearts! Come to find out the two companies were now one! The three young lads were pleasant enough but definately NOT trained in long haul moving.

DO NOT USE damaged basically all of our items. DISCLAIMER you get 0.60c per pound of anything damaged.. Scratched flooring at pick up and delivery address. Didn’t wear shoe protection. Rapidly moved and loaded items running up and down stairs in shoes. Did not wrap any items until asked to do so. New couch was filthy, dents in legs. They damaged the sliders and when it was delivered it scratched the flooring. Chipped glass on all corners of patio table. Outdoor furniture was filthy.

My name is Inder Roopra, I just used Two Small Men with Big Hearts for their services - A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT! I moved my stuff within Winnipeg area and got the quotation of around $2200 but on the move-out day, 2 trucks came in and assured me the process will be smooth and not charged extra! To my surprise, I have been charged over $4000!! Also, I have more than 20 items, bed furniture corners, mirrors corners, glass items, vases broken/damaged badly!!!!

I booked movers June 10th for a July 3rd move. They were supposed to arrive at 9am. At 9:30 they call me to say they aren’t coming. No offer of a solution just that they aren’t coming. Do not reply on them for you move if you have to be out by a certain time, apparently they can just not show up!
