Umbrella Movers

I never do bad reviews; however since I got no response from the owners as promised I felt like I needed to do this. This was by far the worst experience in truck loading I have had; and I’ve moved 10 plus times. One star is too much! My boxes were packed great. Tight? In protected covers, etc. even used similar sz boxes to make stacking easier. Here’s just a tad of what happened. Practically everything was scratched, dresser destroyed can’t be fixed, hutch hole in the back, broken things everywhere.

Please do the research before booking with this company. A friend recommended Umbrella Movers in 2022. I used this company to move my furniture into a storage unit. Fast forward to 2024, I hire Umbrella Movers again. BIG MISTAKE! They were not cautious with my furniture. My expensive bedroom furniture was damaged along with my console. I requested the same ppl to move my things incase there was an issue I would know who’s responsible.

Moving team showed up half an hour late, just half hour into the move , team members started shouting and cursing each other. After 3 hours of putting stuff into truck they declared that they don’t have space in the truck (that is after we had a person came to the house earlier , have a look at our stuff and give us a quote). They left a whole closet full of suitcases and big rug..

DO NOT HIRE UMBRELLA MOVERS! The crew were friendly and SEEMED to be professional. However, when the moving company I hired to unload our things opened up the truck, it was clear The Umbrella Crew had been extremely careless when stacking and packing up our possessions. Our new, $1,400 King sized mattress/box springs were all but destroyed, left completely uncovered to get stained, crushed under boxes and torn in multiple places; our dining room table was uncovered, scratched up and it's chairs were badly damaged…

First time using Umbrella movers. I’ve moved pretty much every year and have hired movers for the last 8 years. I only have a one bedroom apartment with items. The longest it’s ever taken previous moving companies is 2.5 hours and I’ve always moved to the top floor of apartments. This time I moved from the top floor of an apartment to a house and half my items went in the garage and it took these movers 4 hours, it was ridiculous how slow they were moving and I was even helping.

We have used Umbrella movers twice, and the first experience with them was excellent, a great crew. However, the second set of movers we had decided to take the contents of our liquor cabinet home with them. When we worked out it was missing (and, yes, dear office staff, we have looked in every box) we complained to the head office folks, who could not have been less helpful. They would not return our calls, and when we eventually get hold of someone, we were told we must have just overlooked a box.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!!! I was very specific about having a large tv when I called them initially and they said tvs were covered if anything happened to it. They broke my $1500 tv and are refusing to cover the repair. I sent a photo of the tv 2 days before they moved it and showed that there was nothing wrong with it. This company will NOT back up their word and you will be VERY sorry when something happens to your furniture. FIND A DIFFERENT MOVING COMPANY. THERE ARE A TON OUT THERE!!!!

The movers that were assigned to me were very nice and quick. However they were also unprofessional. Some unwarranted comments were made, and they also sung along with some profanity containing music loudly while moving the furniture. When I made mention of a ding in my paint they made on my previous property they responded in an indignant manner rather than being apologetic. I would not recommend their services if you’re wanting professional movers.
