Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience - Do Not Recommend I am incredibly disappointed with the service we received from Unicorn. Having used them in the past, I expected a competent, professional experience. What we received instead was disorganization, poor communication, and complete lack of accountability. From the start, it was nearly impossible to reach a live person.

Everything started great. I had to move last minute due to a job change. Unicorn had the lowest quote. I was upfront with the fact that I lived in a second floor apartment and was moving to a second floor unit. I also noted I had a spinet piano. The quote noted the extra fee for the piano. The movers were on time to meet me at my prior location. Things were going well until the end of that part. One of the movers tried to get out of the parking garage as the iron gate was closing.

After living a nomadic military lifestyle for the past twenty years I have seen all types of movers. This is the most dysfunctional moving company I have ever seen. They quoted us at a $1,600 dollar move. They don't know how to get on a military installation. I call and talk to Sergio and he tells us the move will be cheaper. Kimberly emails my wife and says the move is $,4,000, they tell us this two days before the move is supposed to take place.

I had never hired movers, but I’m disabled and can’t walk much nor lift heavy boxes. My realtor recommended Unicorn Moving. Alan came and did my estimate 20 days before my move. I explained that I would have a lot of stuff packed before my move, so I questioned the $20,000 estimate. Alan said he overestimated because he didn’t know how much I would box up, but I would only be charged for work done, which he thought would be less than $15,000. Since the estimate said $10,000-$15,000, I booked it.

I hired Unicorn Moving Storage with the expectation of a smooth transition for my 1-bedroom apartment move. Regrettably, the experience was fraught with issues. 1. Misunderstanding of Instructions: The movers arrived unprepared to move the entire apartment, causing unnecessary delays. My initial inventory list was only meant as examples, but it was mistaken as the complete list of items, resulting in confusion. 2. Excessive Time Consumption: For a mere 1-bedroom apartment, the move took more than 10 hours.

I didn't want to have to write a review but I'm so tired of dealing with this even months later. We moved halfway across the country this past June from Texas to Maryland. We had the walkthrough and got a pricing quote from Alan for our 5 bedroom home for loading and moving. This quote involved a 3 day process: loading the trucks on day 1, and then 2 days for driving. We later added on packing services that we initially didn't think we would need.

I’ve used Unicorn Moving & Storage in the past and been satisfied with their services. My most recent move, however, did not go at all well. My house flooded so I had to hastily move things to one room and then have them packed and sent to storage. When the movers came to do the packing, I explained that they needed to check any boxes before sealing them because things had been moved without careful packing during the flood.

Happy that I was able to find help at the last minute Because my other movers did not show and I had to Rent a U-Haul because of it, ended up returning the U-Haul, I was told that they would be arriving the next day between 12 and two and got a call at 10 asking for my gate code. I provided my gate code but for some reason one of the gentleman in the moving van was cussing someone out and it was just kind of awkward.
