If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This was by far the worst moving experience I’ve ever had, and it has completely turned me off from hiring movers again. I was charged nearly $1,500 for a service that was incomplete, unprofessional, and felt like a complete scam. The crew arrived late in the afternoon and immediately began wasting time. It was clear they were deliberately working slowly to prolong the job and increase the hourly charges.
The customer was scheduled to move on Sunday 6/1 and contacted us last minute on Thursday 5/29 begging to push the move date to Saturday 5/31 because if her belongings are not out completely by 5/31 the landlord is charging her an … More
Terrible experience and wildly unprofessional. This was my first time using a moving company, and I chose to do so because I had exams right when my lease was ending. I wanted to reduce stress. Unfortunately, this company did the opposite. Two days before my scheduled move, I received a call asking if I could move a day earlier, right in the middle of my two exams. I explained it would be difficult but asked them to let me know only if my original date truly wasn’t going to work.
Quote didn’t match the job - 3 men sent to complete move although clearly expressed size of home and needs . Men were nice however tired and took over 13 hours to do a job which per the owner and quote he gave should take only 5 (new home 5 min drive from old home). At the end of the day we asked them just to throw everything inside in order to get them home . So now we have a home “professionally moved” with boxes lined up outside and walls and furniture damaged .
If I could give them a zero, I would. Worst ever experience. David is a liar. The price quoted turned out to be double, several pieces of furniture (hidden in my storage room) and crystal were claimed since November 2025 and nothing was paid. He kept on saying that he was sending to the insurance company every month. The movers used so much tape to consume time and shoved the tape into my very large garbage and I spent hours cutting piece by piece to remove. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
One star is actually too much. I'm moving tomorrow, in which the movers were scheduled to arrive at my current residence at 8am. I received a call at 9am today, informing me they are cancelling my move! Supposedly everyone is sick. The girl …

They are so unbelievable. I will recommend them to everyone. The guys worked so hard for 10 hours on the hottest day of the year! I was missing wall art even though I checked the truck before they left. David checked the truck for me (on a holiday weekend!) and drove the photo back to me from way up in North Jersey for no charge. Highly recommended. 10/10 and I thank you so much. Did I also mention they took on my job with very short notice?
Universal Van Lines moved me into my new house and I can’t say enough good things. The team was incredibly efficient and polite and took the utmost care with my belongings. I didn’t think a move could go this smoothly or this quickly— Danny is a true professional and all of the costs were exactly what was outlined in terms of time. Highly recommend

They did my Major move , and then a fee days later I need some other miscellaneous stuff moved and it was short notice, but David and team was able to assist! Those guys have strength!
