Zero stars is not an option. This was one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. I needed to move my 77 year-old mother. They misplaced boxes, put heavy boxes in wrong location, and boxes were severely damaged. They damaged her existing property, lost or damaged delivered property, lost parts to her piano, failed to count boxes, stole goods from us, and one of the movers threatened my mother. Claims process is horribly bureaucratic and they denied claims even when I had pictures!!
The actual move was overall ok. Our stuff was fine, the price was decent (although more than $1000 more than the estimate) but they didn't communicate to the crew that we had agreed on furniture disassembly and reassembly. So,w the crew …
We used University in November and had a horrible experience. Donna, the coordinator, who came to our home did not estimate the correct size of truck needed and sent a truck that was too small. What a mess, we were told that we could easily be moved in one day for a local move. We had to move the whole garage and outdoor items ourselves as well as all of our clothing since the coordinator forgot to tell them to bring the wardrobes. They wouldn't have had room for them anyway.
ORIGINAL post: (5 Stars): Absolutely perfect! Brandon and his crew were neat, professional, helpful and very respectful of my home. Outstanding service! UPDATE Jul 2023: My furniture arrived damaged. As a 27 year military veteran I've been through many moves; this one was the worst! I have 21 damaged items. The only saving grace is Dianne Schuenke at Corporate. She contacted me day 1 and we've been in contact since trying to get things taken care of. She is OUTSTANDING!!
I used university moving for moving and storage. The move went well, and eventually we got the things out of storage. They have a credit of more than $600 that they won't pay (it has been 3 months). One chair also went missing, and again the claim form has not been processed. Very disappointed by the full experience.

Would highly recommend this company. There were factors (a major snow storm being the biggest) beyond my control going on which led me to need change the actual moving day at the last minute. I was trying to manage so much stress. Kerrie was fantastic to work with. She truly kept me sane through the whole process. The moving crew was great. They were so professional. They were easy going and reassuring when I had questions on moving day. A great company to work with!
Everyone was very kind and efficient in helping me move within a very short amount of time. I really appreciate the help from Nick, Waylon, Michael, Kerrie, and Donna! I will definitely use North American Van Lines again for future moves.
The crew was great. They moved everything that we had in a couple of hours. Nothing was damaged or broken. I would absolutely recommend to a friend. Shout out to Carl, Waylon, And Nick The driver.
Our move hit some hiccups, but Candice Johns managed them like a champ. First, the crew assigned to us (husband/wife) were forced to call off because of illness. Candice arranged for a new crew and truck, and our start was only slightly delayed. Then, there was an issue with disassembly of some furniture. Again, Candice stuck with us and saw it through. We really appreciate how customer-focused Candice proved to be and how the crew saw things through. The level of service was outstanding!
